Drained and filled the rear diff on my 22 Tremor today @ 10,000.
Surprise! It had no drain plug. I found another thread where someone with a 21 didn't have one either.
Anyway, removed the cover and surprisingly the fluid looked really good and didn't smell bad. I cleaned the inside of the...
Just posting in case it helps someone out. I couldn't get my opener to program. I ended up going out to the middle of nowhere, away from houses, lights, etc, and did the part to learn with the existing remote. Went back home and it worked like a dream. So in my case, interference was foiling the...
Yep. I'm thinking if anything, I might consider Torx self-tapping and filling with epoxy. Not impossible to defeat, but probably less likely to be foiled in the field.
I was going to look for either security torx or some other type of security bolt, but after removing one I noticed that its a self-threading bolt for plastic. I guess I could go with another self-threading type but hate to cut new threads in the plastic.
I’ve had a 98 Explorer and have a 2013 Explorer. Explorerforum was great for the 98. Tons of good info. But almost every question about the later models were met with old men replying “just take it to the dealer, they have free coffee”. Why even reply to the thread? For a long time was just...
Anyone know what the paint code is for the correct touch up pen (if it exists) for the grill? It’s a 2022 Tremor.
I suspect it might be the carbonized gray but I’m not sure.
It's becoming more common for manufacturers to specify brake fluid replacement. I know it made a difference on my F150. Brakes felt better and the old fluid looked pretty bad, but it was 6-7 years old.
It's a different door handle. I'd be shocked that an unpainted handle would be that rough. You would have to sand it, apply a couple coats of primer, and work a bit to get it paint ready. It has a slightly textured finish, just like the one I had on my F150 XL.
As for the grayness, there are...
Update: Took it to Bob Moore Ford in Oklahoma City this morning and they opened a warranty claim with Ford.
Ford's response was that it is indeed a manufacturing error, but it will not be covered under warranty. The receiving dealer should have noted it, and is therefore responsible. Yesterday...
competely fair question. It was dealer stock and it’s been rainy here in Oklahoma and it was dirty. It was cleaned up right before we left (two hours to home).
as I mentioned before I asked my wife if she could see what was wrong and she never found it (and she’s good at finding weird little...
nope, the other handles are all glass smooth. This is a textured black handle. My old F150 XL handles were very similar. Either way it’s a screw up :)
this handle has no wear. I did put some quick detailer on it and it looked a bit better. Interestingly there’s another thread here with folks...
oh yeah, I was wondering how we didn’t see it. In fact I had my wife come out and I told her to look at both sides of the truck and tell me what’s wrong. She looked for 10 minutes and couldn’t figure anything out until I told her. Then it is incredibly obvious.
it’s a different type of handle...
