There has to be lanes for it to pick up! Poor lines on edge and center will make it lose the lane. Clean windshield is needed as well. You’ll get a message if it gets too dirty and the lane keeping won’t work until you clean it.
You'll have a Recall Flag on your Carfax Report until you get this checked. If you never intend to sell or trade it, you don't have to worry, but getting it checked out is probably the best option.
Not sure what you're usinfg but mine has been working just fine for 6 months now! You can't use one that has a light sensor or it won't come on during the day!
