So yet ANOTHER thing I might encounter with my LARIAT / TREMOR that curtly only has 2300mi on it.
Oh boy, can’t wait.
“Ford where quality is job 1”
How sad that “this” is even a “thing”. Between every time I drive second guessing is my truck is “bucking / surging”, wondering if I need a “catch can”, feeling lucky (?) that I paid for an engine cover that Ford “deleted” and hopeful my spark plugs won’t “rust” into the engine when I wash the...
I’d have “lawyered up” in your case. By not disclosing that damages were repaired to your “brand new” vehicle they lied to you. But….. that seems typical with manufacturers and dealers.
You say you want / need this truck, but ANY body damage, even a mild scratch is an absolute “NO” in my book.
How much are you about to pay for this “brand new” vehicle? $40k, 45, 50, 55k???
Think long and hard if you want to pay anything, even a HUGE discount for it. And trust me, it’ll never...
No the OP is just fine. He’s got a lemon, a POS. Having dealt with a similar situation, and now being a Ranger owner, I’m happy (though sad for the OP) to hear about potential issues.
Been there / done that. THAT is how I ended up with a Ford / Ranger.
Sooooo when I hear stories like yours, and with Ford (and trust me, I NEVER thought I’d own a Ford, but….. so far, 2,500mi, it has been fine, well the “deleted items” off my “top of the line” LARIAT / TREMOR -501A Package 2022...
Yep, you should be lining up a lawyer that specializes in lemon law now.
YOU spent plenty on this vehicle, and it has a problem they can’t resolve. If it was a toaster you’d bring it back for a refund or replacement.
I’ve been down this road with a brand new Honda (Ridgeline). If they build...
I get a kick out of people, and not just here, that “know” they get more “power” when they use higher octane fuels. When in a sense octane is an inhibitor to combustion. Of course some engines require this retardation of combustion because the engine itself is designed to operate at higher...
Post title: “Ford ranks among worst…customer service survey of 2020-2022 vehicles”
And if that ain’t enough (just popped up on my local morning news) for ya…. Every time I turn the key (press the start button) I hold my breath and cross my fingers.
Ford Recalled More Cars Than Any Other...
Not calling any “one” person foolish, basically calling everyone foolish that would electronically modify the programming of an engine / ECU of any modern stock / consumer market engine.
I’m sorry to hear all the mess this has caused for the OP (and others?).
But I can’t hold my tongue on this one. “Tuning” an off the shelf, very average engine and its related electronics on your “everyday driver” seems rather foolish, right?
In 40 or so years of buying (only ever new) cars I can say hands down, no doubt, absolutely, my wife’s 2019 Mazda CX-5 is the best car I’ve ever owned. The “bang for the buck”, the fit and finish, the driving feel, and the so far anyway reliability (zero, not one issue) can’t be beat. Too bad...
Well…. The “truck” I owned before my Lariat / Tremor was the supposedly high(est?) ranking midsize truck, the Honda Ridgeline. When my lawyers and I had Honda buy it back it had just over 2k mi on it. It leaked (rear window) the day I brought it home, not discovered until it’s first wash by me...
Buying a vehicle should be no different than buying a toaster or TV.
And…. Just like a toaster or TV, if it’s defective you should be able to return it for a FULL refund or replacement.
Of course this is coming from someone that had to get a lawyer to make them (auto maker that makes a...
Does anyone else think it's (almost?) insane, criminal, sad, ridiculous, (insert your own here) _______, to have to, or think you might have to, do this to an engine with 30, 40, 50, or even 100k miles on it, and do it "every 30-40k"?
I'm thinking "class action" if it were. This is 2023, should...
