  1. Is a 10,000 mile oil change interval ideal for the 2.3L?

No need to cross your fingers. Just make them redo the oil change.
  2. Is a 10,000 mile oil change interval ideal for the 2.3L?

Well…. The Dealer would be dumping the brand new oil out and doing the oil change again if it were me. If they can’t get a simple oil change right, just imagine if / when you have a real service need.
  3. What the heck happened to my Ranger?!

Every time I successfully start and drive (my super low mileage - 5k miles) 2022 LARIAT/TREMOR I count my blessings. You know, will the tranny or driveshaft fail, do I need a “catch can”, will water drip into my engine and foul my spark plugs? Well, maybe not because I bought and installed an...
  4. Bucking/Surging Epidemic

Thank you WTR! Though I am not experiencing this frankly redesign / recall worthy issue - yet (my '22 LARIAT / TREMOR after 18mos is STILL short of 5k miles) I fully suspect at some point I will. I have saved out your detailed writeup on this, and have it saved here in the "Ranger" folder on...
  5. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Came in the mail the other day, a “recall notice”. Even had pictures and diagrams for how to do the Install, no kidding. Also said I could take it to my Dealership to have it done, but that it could take 1/2 day or longer and even perhaps require leaving the vehicle overnight, no kidding!
  6. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

    Lost 85lbs of capacity? ????
  7. General Unibody Hate?

I agree 100%, with you and others comments here that agree having the right "type" of truck for what you intend to do with it is more important than it being cab on chassis or unibody. I would STILL have my Ridgeline (2021, that I only had a very short time) if not for a very unfortunate window...
  8. Too old to change oil ?

Agree 100% because more than 50% of times I've brought vehicles to the "Dealer" (and... I've only ever used Dealer Service Depts for services I can't do myself - my thinking... if it's a Dealer and they REALLY screw something up it's going to be easier for me to get the fix "fixed", or... go...
  9. Ford Tried To Be Tesla, And It Cost The Company Billions

Just curious. Where do you stand on moon landings, shape of the Earth, validity of the past Presidential election?
  10. Ford Tried To Be Tesla, And It Cost The Company Billions

But but but, that’d be “woke”??
  11. Ford Tried To Be Tesla, And It Cost The Company Billions

Is Ford going about this in not the smartest way? Yea I’ll agree with that. Is looking to go electric, which is what 90+% of new vehicles will be before you know it “woke” somehow? That’s humorous, and sad if you really think that (way).
  12. Yosemite Help

Unfortunately it is not a "might" in "prime season". I live, and have lived all my life, just a few hours away. If you've never seen it in summer then putting in the effort is something you should do - once. It is beautiful, the scenery. But those pix you've shared are 100% dead on sadly. Late...
  13. What oil will you be running after your 1st oil change?

Yep, the cheapest (and of course it ain’t that cheep, but it’s all relative) thing you can do for ANY engine. Use a quality synthetic and change it more often than you “think” and certainly more often than some “intelligent” computer says. Too often of a change won’t cause problems or void...
  14. Ford layoffs - June '23

Well I know you were in sort of a "have to buy" situation in a way.... I bought my 2022 Ford LARIAT / TREMOR - 501A Package in the middle / end of the Pandemic here in Los Angeles. Mark up capitol of the world. I gave them MY PRICE. When they said, "oh we can't do that" I got up and walked...
  15. Ford layoffs - June '23

I just wish they "engineered" the windshield adhesive properly.
  16. Transmission Replaced

This is just sad, that any vehicle (make, model, brand) would require replacement at just over 50k mi.
  17. Your rig in epic camp sites!

Oh the places your Ranger can take you. Just back from a week on and off road in south central Utah. A few nights camping, and few nights in a couple of small cabins. Tuck did well* over the 1700 miles driven. *along the trip discovered that at some point, maybe 'before' the...
  18. Perimeter alarm not working; not sure since when

Well I've had mine sort of test itself, much the way the OP has now commented his worked (a time threshold must be met). So I'm sorry your "shit" don't work, I would have ASSumed yours would too. Sounds like you have a defective truck.
