Put the new battery in and have it on charge for the night. Did manage to find another defect, the perfectly aligned point on the corner of the hood right above the battery, makes a nice dent in your head.
My 2019 Lariat appears to have the original battery, and it runs pretty low on voltage and I get sleep mode. Got a new one today at Wally world for $170 with a full 4 year replacement. We'll see how this lasts.
Question on factory alarm. When I test drove my truck, as soon as you start a siren sound goes off inside for several seconds. Salesman says it is the demo mode for the alarm. So when I buy they try to sell the alarm system for $700 which I declined so they said it would be disabled but it...
17 pages about a guy who bought the wrong vehicle for his needs. I want Ford to fix my defective Ranger because it won't pull my 35 foot 5th wheel. I'm buying a Nissan instead for economic reasons!
Figured it was something odd like that since everyone's worked not running. Was able to make some changes with no problem. Great adaptor and easy process.
I tend to run mine as low as possible down to 30 since my wife complains about the rough ride. If you are carrying a load should be at least 35. I have an aftermarket tpms that I used on an RV that gives tire temp, with that you can experiment so you don't go too low to cause higher operating temps.

??? Sorry I so rudely referred to this add on feature as a problem! It's actually a back massage.
Welcome. I also traded a Cummins 2500 in for my Ranger. Loved the beast but no longer needed it after our 5th wheel was totalled. So far the Ranger is meeting my needs.
I agree the fix is possibly a bandaid, but when the manufacturer ignores the issue people have a choice: find a fix themselves, live with it, or sell the vehicle. My quote didn't call it a major issue but a serious issue. I would stand by that characterization because a spinning shaft with...
I understand different opinions on this issue but I do not understand anger about people trying to correct a serious design problem that Ford is ignoring. Seems Ford has parted quite a few fools from their money.
