I am now about 90% complete with rebuilding my storage solution in the bed of the truck. This is a 50/50 storage solution to accommodate carrying my road bicycle inside of the bed where it is locked away and protected from the elements, hence why the buildup is only on the driver's side. For...
Selling my 2021 Ford Ranger as I want to go a different direction with wheeling and camping. Exploring private sale with modifications before I return to stock and part out the mods separately. This truck is for people who want a modified "overland" ready Ranger. If you are looking for a stock...
which half of America can you get a mortgage payment that cheap? asking as a 20 something who is priced out of the housing market anywhere worth living....
May want to just hang onto them for a rainy day or find a junk yard. Stock suspension off sports and FX4's are practically worthless in the 2nd hand market. Only ones that really sell are stock Tremor bits.
For the sake of clarity, while that square is where the ACC sensor lives, that is not the sensor itself. The square you can see is a protective plastic cover. The radar itself is much smaller and lives behind the plastic cover. I'm guessing it would probably be fine to have a lower honeycomb...
Got roughly 14.5 round trip from Colorado to Florida and back over the holidays. Majority highway driving at 75MPH.
Truck was fully loaded with camping gear plus my roof rack and smaller ARB awning. ARB skid plates, ARB bull bar with winch, 275/70/18 load E Falken Wildpeak AT3's.
Overall, I...
Terrain modes, factory locking diff, high and low range electronic transfer case, factory underbody protection.
You could swap just the suspension for a leveling kit and true all terrain 31's or 33's, and have a truck capable of doing many trails up to a 5/6 out of 10 difficulty level.
FWIW, the Ranger bed sides are also taller than competitors. Lots of aftermarket bits will fit the Taco and GM twins, but not the Ranger for this reason. Camper shells, Alucabs, etc. have to be designed for the ranger to accommodate the taller bed sides and tailgate.
I have a camper shell on...
Not quite as close to payload, but I moved to Colorado from Florida with my stock ranger + camper shell. Had everything I owned (that I could fit) in the bed of the truck and in a tandem axle 15ft U-Haul trailer w/ surge brakes, I estimate about 5000lbs total. Truck barely broke a sweat, temps...
Going to ignore the dick measuring contest above me here for a moment.
I am not familiar with adding terrain management as an aftermarket feature. I imagine it would require some finnagling with forscan.
As far as a locker goes, there are aftermarket locker options for the Ranger - ARB air...
At the end of the day, Ranger is still a turbo 4 banger. I cannot compare to Gibson but I am a big fan of my MBRP turn down axle dump exhaust. Gives me the sound I want, and sounds great wheeling in low range. No drone so highway travel is a non issue.
Facebook marketplace, vehicle-specific Facebook Groups, and Bring a Trailer (+ similar auction sites) seem to be the more reliable ways to track down collector cars/bikes.
For the sake of clarity, I am not suggesting these threads be hidden/archive, just preventing comments on dead threads. I also like the above idea of a warning message when replying to a thread that is dead. Something to discourage gravedigging is what I am really going for here.
I feel like I am fairly often baited into viewing dead threads that were gravedug by someone who didn't notice/care how old the thread is. It would be helpful to automatically lock threads that weren't replied to after a certain amount of time (6 months as a suggestion).
One could argue that...
I think it is mostly because that's the infotainment screen. Plenty of aftermarket backup cameras with an "always on" option. Very popular for larger vehicles like RV's or people who tow often. I have a fiberglass topper which I load up when I go camping, which blocks my rear view mirror. I've...
With the help of @Colo_Ranger today I installed my new (to me) and repainted ARB skid plates. I love the cherry red accent look. Also installed 1/2 windoors to my topper as part of my bed storage build.
