EDIT: Price drop to $600 OBO and can arrange shipping if desired.
Located outside Ann Arbor, Michigan. Would be willing to meet within a reasonable distance to avoid shipping.
Have had it for about a year and has been awesome. No rips or tears and is pretty much "like-new". The rear window...
Looks like engine air filters are ~$10-$12 on Rockauto. Agreed, they are definitely taking a payday on what is otherwise routine/inexpensive maintenance. Given the cold and snow we've had here, I'm okay letting them do the tire rotation so I don't have to! Glad I have the Ford Pass points to...
Just wondering if anyone's done Ford's 30,000 mile maintenance and what you thought? Took my Ranger in to the dealership this morning to investigate a clunk/rattle coming from the driver's side front and figured I'd have them do the 30k while I was there. This is the first time taking the truck...
Just about every component of the vehicle is this way. Aside from sheet metal stamping, manufacturing of some plastic parts here or there, and assembling (key word there) engines, trans, and eventually the complete vehicle, Ford doesn't really 'make' anything. Pretty much every major component...
Here's what I did. Obviously a less involved, entry-level upgrade, but works for me ?‍♂️ I have an XLT 302A with the standard sound system. I installed these Kicker CSC67 6.75in Coax speakers in the front doors. I originally ordered them for my wife's Edge Sport with the Sony system, but decided...
Had a rare 'nice' day, so I washed the inch-thick layer of salt and road grime off it. Trying to enjoy the clean exterior for the 12 hours it'll stay clean. Small chance of snow tomorrow evening which means excessive amounts of salt ?
Drove through ~200 miles of freezing fog this morning, guessing the same type that frosts the trees in that way. This is what the front of the Ranger looked like after.
Was quite nice once the fog broke.
Growing up in western SD (with something like 230 days of sunshine per year) I used to love winter. Now that we live in metro Detroit where its just grey and miserable half the year, I hate it. Glad to know I'm not the only one that notices and dwells on the Michigan grey. I can't wait for...
Hauled an engine hoist back out to a buddy, and as payment for letting me borrow it, helped him shove a Piper Cherokee into a semi trailer. Was a decent afternoon/evening for some chorin and fun to use the Ranger as a ranch hand for a few hours.
Plane had a hanger fall on it a few years ago...
AT&T data subscription is to use the built in 4G modem as a wireless hotspot. Basically a cellular plan for your truck. I pay for a subscription because the data is substantially cheaper than upgrading our cellular plan, so its nice to have while traveling and not burning up our phone data...
Haha my bad! But yeah, that squash factor should get you close, but you may have some fine tuning depending on the tire, since different constructions, load ranges, tread compounds, etc are going to drive differences in nominal tire radius, so group feedback is still helpful for common tires.
Helpful tip... if you consider the "Tire Squash Factor" when you calculate tire circumference, you'll be much closer to the true tire diameter that the vehicle needs in order to show the correct speed in the cluster. Accounting for the effective radius with a nominally compressed sidewall will...
The SVC bar is certainly prettier than mine is lol but I spent less than $10 on mine.
Hopefully the pics help. If you feel the top of your bumper between the bumper and the grill, you'll feel a couple of slots that are intended to mount the license plate frame. It's a tight fit, but I managed...
The bar in the bottom is mounted just like everyone else's, using available holes in the bumper opening.
The two spot lights are mounted on a bracket I made using an old cross bar (just a 1x1 steel square tube with a plastic outer coating), and some 1/8in aluminum flat stock tabs that I bolted...
