  1. No air coming out when set to feet...

So I followed the instructions posted by Airline Tech and switch mine from auto to last settings in the cluster screen and have seen a much better improvement in clearing the windshield while remote starting. Another affect that I’ve not expected, I can now feel air blowing at my feet on half...
  2. No air coming out when set to feet...

Just went out to my truck, I never thought to check in the settings there. Changed it from auto to last settings so hopefully that will solve that issue for me. Thank you for that!
  3. No air coming out when set to feet...

I’ve got manual controls so I have to make sure I set it to defrost when I get to the parking lot at work. When I get in it after remote starting it though no air is moving through the vents until I turn the key regardless if it’s set to defrost or any other vent setting.
  4. No air coming out when set to feet...

My Ranger is the same way and from the sound of it, it’s normal for this generation to have almost no air at the feet. I’ve not sat in the passenger side to test the floor vent there to see if it’s the same. What I don’t like is when I remote start it and get in it, the air doesn’t turn on...
  5. For those who feel "Maintenance is a Scam!"

My 19 Ranger has a drain plug and because of it I’ll probably drain and fill it once a year because it’s cheap to do so and easier than changing the engine oil. I prefer to do things like changing my own oil because it’s cheaper and I get to see the condition of the fluid myself, not that I’ve...
  6. For those who feel "Maintenance is a Scam!"

The tech is paid by job or per hour but either way they are paid. A job that’s requires more labor should charge a higher labor cost to cover paying the tech and shop supplies Per job requirements. Charging an addition $30 to change an air filter while a customer brings their vehicle in for an...
  7. For those who feel "Maintenance is a Scam!"

Rockauto has the motorcraft air filter for $13 and cabin air filter for $17. $10 for a five minute or less task is taking labor into account, in my opinion. It’s probably more profitable than that as they’re making money selling you the filters too. The only service that somewhat makes sense as...
  8. For those who feel "Maintenance is a Scam!"

That’s a fair point. It’s been a while since I’ve used dealer service for anything because of these tactics. My trusted shop will get my business in handling the more “fun” maintenance like trans fluid and filter change.
  9. For those who feel "Maintenance is a Scam!"

Maintenance isn’t the scam, what they charge is. $200 for a rear dif fluid change? $75 to replace engine air filter or cabin air filter? The cost of 2 quarts of rear diff fluid is $25 and simply drain and fill. They’d have better luck getting people to agree to their air filter changes if they...
  10. Wheels and Tires Finally!

These are the only aftermarket wheels I would consider. Nice looking wheels. I’m still waiting to have enough time to put on the wheels I just acquired from a member here as my Jack is apparently retired.
  11. Have IPhone messages read to you

My truck has the 4” screen, so no CarPlay or android auto. I figured the Sync 3 equipped trucks would be able to do it but was surprised when mine could as well. I’ve not seen if it would reply for me as I’ve already turned the setting off on my phone. I can only view the text on the screen if...
  12. Have IPhone messages read to you

I’ve got the 4” screen as well. This squid launcher feature was a feature on my 01 Ford and Chevy trucks. Pretty handy at night time.
  13. Have IPhone messages read to you

I've only had my Ranger for about four months. I've known some cars could do it, just wasn't that interested in it as a text message can wait and if it seems important enough then I'll make a call. I know some people really like that though and apparently my dad is one of them. Shouldn't be...
  14. Have IPhone messages read to you

I personally don’t care for the idea of my messages being read out loud with a bunch of people in hearing range. Just making folks aware that this is an option for them if they want. Before changing this setting, my truck never notified me that I got a text and most of the time I have to turn...
  15. Have IPhone messages read to you

So the other day I helped my dad get his Sierra to read/view messages from his first ever iPhone. Got me thinking perhaps the Ranger can too, so today I tried it and it works. I do not have the 8” screen and can have the vehicle read me the text message. I can view them but only if the vehicle...
  16. Anyone say, I should have purchased a different truck?

Shouldn’t have to add it after the truck has left the factory. I know about the aftermarket pans, even the plastic Doorman has a drain plug for $50. The dipstick is kinda pricy at $250ish.
  17. Anyone say, I should have purchased a different truck?

I’ve had my 19 Ranger now for about four months or so and I can still say I’m happy with my choice. There are things Ford could’ve done better though: -trans pan with drain plug for easier maintenance -Ability to check trans fluid and fill from engine bay -recirculating air turning off after...
  18. Texas Wheels/Tires with tpms sensors included

Out of your garage and onto my truck.
  19. Texas Wheels/Tires with tpms sensors included

They are a good deal which is why I’m jumping on it. Worth the drive from Houston to Fort Worth. My wheels got scuffed up by the hub cap things ford put on instead of painting them. This way I’ll get 4 matching tires and better looking wheels.
  20. Texas Wheels/Tires with tpms sensors included

I’ll take them. I’ll send you a DM.
