I'm more in the WTF camp on this one, and wouldn't drive it more than maybe once at the dragstrip just for the hell of it, but I do agree with @Colo_Ranger 's point about the skill necessary to actually build this thing, and can definitely appreciate that.
Odds are it wouldn't even fit in the lines; at best you'd be right on top of them on both sides, so you could even take up three spots for the price of one!
Glad to hear that yours was an even easier fix than mine. Not too much you can do about temps that cold, and they're bound to cause some sort of issues.
The government is totally right. Keeping drivers awake with a sense of humor is an awful thing. It's much better to lull them to sleep with blandness, so that everyone becomes aware that self-driving cars will prevent accidents caused by sleepy drivers.
