I like the dual exit kit from Ford Performance (Borla made if I remember correctly). It was a simple install, though your install location may have been altered with that last install. If corrosion is a concern, why not directly to titanium?
Without knowing how that app was coded I couldn't say. Does the app have a setting for the fuel tank size? Perhaps it tries to use the fuel tank % change from start to finish to determine used fuel? If the tank size is wrong (maybe see too small), or if from a "full" tank it will read 100% for a...
Due to local 36,000 acre wildfires and ash falling on the cars this week, then a storm that coming through Saturday night that was not enough to rinse all the ash off, I washed them all yesterday, including the Ranger. The Ranger and the RS got some touchup paint applied on some chips in the...
I'm not sure I would worry too much about a coat hanger. The frame of the panel is lower than the top of the tailgate so as soon as the hanger was past the tailgate top on the way in it would impact the panel frame and need to go under it, then turn back level to reach the wire. Could it be...
I like this one. I like the low profile, it's sturdy enough for what I've set on it. And I can sleep under it well enough. https://undercoverinfo.com/undercover-flex/2023/ford/ranger
I would suggest the clear 3M paint protector adhered to the paint across all contact points to prevent that. I would rather see 1/8th of clear tape at the edges than that damage if I removed the part later.
As for that kit fitting our NA Ranger, I would be most concerned about the attachment...
There are way better ways to address the vision than using ALL CAPS. That only improves their reading of the message they are sending. Way better to enlarge the text using the "zoom" features of the browser (CTRL + "+"), or computer's display settings (scale option of the display settings) so...
I'll add make sure you are using premium fuel while towing as the manual states you should. Manual also states max speed while towing is 62mph. I pulled a 6,200lb brick shaped (no aero angles to the leading edge at all) trailer for the race club a couple weekends ago about 300 miles and got just...
I didn't notice the CAN location, I'm not sure about there what the requirements are there. I know I've looked through the USA's MVSS a few times at the requirements here, dates back to requirements that went into effect in 1968 here.
Just a reminder, without adding a replacement amber front side reflector this could result in a ticket and/or failing safety inspection if they are doing their job correctly.
What will the weight of the trailer be with the load on it? Bumper limit is 3,500lb, but Ford also states the trailer needs brakes for trailers over 1,650lb. As I understand, with only a 4 pin connector you 'll need a surge brake setup on the trailer to reach the 3,500lb max bumper tow.
If you had adaptive cruise and it was active it will start braking much earlier, before the collision warning, unless you have your foot on the accelerator enough to override the adaptive cruise's braking.
If you don't want the FX4 package, you could look into getting the normal shocks for truck, I hear there are some Bilstein shocks that are really good for road use, and pull the extra bash guards off the bottom to save some weight. You may be able to sell some of those parts to someone wanting...
