I have heard of this being an issue with either module. Has to do with the touch sensors in the doors and having the fob close to the truck (in your pocket).
I have the Trac module in my XLT and have had no issues. Not sure how the Red Tech module works, but the Trac module adds one-touch for...
Third brake light is on the tailgate like all ROW Rangers. And blacked out.
I don’t think it's that bad. Only issues I have is the super-wide tires and those awful flairs. The hood to fender interface is a little iffy too. Almost looks better than the standard 6G front end to me.
I agree with you on the Ford recommended service interval being too long. How ever the color change you are showing is not an indicator of fluid condition. The new ULV fluid we use is known to darken fairly quickly, do to the higher temperatures it is rated to operate at.
That said I will be...
In the BCM it is labeled "Panic Activate". Your choices are None, Double Click and Pulse Click. Pulse Click or Single Click is the default. I have mine set to Double Clock.
Not far from the actual truth, really. It is called corona staining. Caused by the static charge generated by the plug firing attracting dirt particles to the exposed porcelain of the plug. Completely normal with today's high energy ignition systems.
I really think you'll find the hose is there to keep the module from spinning with the fan as well as keeping the harness clear of everything. I'm not going to tear mine apart but I will bet the the black module would spin freely with the engine stopped. As @airline tech has said, without...
Your Ranger has a 7500 lb tow capacity. Sounds like you will be looking at about 5500 lbs. That will be no problem. A few here tow close to the max. regularly. Hopefully your Ranger has the tow package. Otherwise you will need a class 4 hitch for it. Also if the trailer has electric brakes you...
My 2019 also a late build (August 2019) lasted 34 months. You obviously have longer drives. The battery management system is not setup for people who make mostly short trips, doesn't keep the battery fully charged. That will kill a battery quickly.
Read through the thread @airline tech posted...
Mail lady just dropped off my BatteryMinder desulfator. Got it on sale from Battery Mart for $65 plus postage. Now to install it and adjust my SOC in Forscan to start fixing my battery issues. I've had ASS turned off for some time.
Thank you Ford for designing a truck that doesn't like short...
Actually the MTM insert uses the 5 push pins that mount the top of opening frame to the bumper. Took longer to paint the MTM emblem blue to match my truck than it did to mount it. Have had mine on almost a year hasn't moved.
I have the MTM insert and there is no drilling needed. Just remove 5 push pins from the upper part of the opening and use them to mount the insert. Takes about 10 minutes tops.
Not sure about the Putco.
Looks like the pins/sockets are not seated all the way in the connector. You should not be able to see the metal that is exposed in your picture. That is a short waiting to happen. Could be why the connector is not making good contact. I have heard they are a pain to get seated properly.
Please, please, please! Stop calling it a "Solid" drive shaft. It is a "One-Piece" drive shaft, there is a big difference. As a retired engineer I cringe everytime I see it called that.
I totally agree it is great to have an option for people with Tremors that have the issue. Even though we...
Face it, there is no such thing as privacy anymore. Doesn't matter what you drive. If you have a cell phone, somebody somewhere knows where you are and how fast you are going somewhere else. Every site you visit is being tracked, how to you think they know what adds to throw at you. If you have...
I'm with you. Just ordered an desulfator myself. I have had my ASS turned off in Forscan since shortly after buying my MY2019, Hate ASS. Had my OEM battery replaced at about 34 months under warrenty, so my battery is currently just a little over a year old. checked it yesterday with my tester...
Actually what you did is exactly the right thing to do to fix the problem you were having.
Those type of bulbs can get the contact wires pressed down during manufacturing or packaging so that they don't make good contact with the socket. The only way to fix it is to pry them out a little to...
So glad I grew-up before Apple indoctrinated all our kids by giving them to grade schools. Never went down that rabbit hole. Learned on the original IBM PC-1 and AT. DOS to windows, because that is what my chosen industry used and still does. Probably saved myself a ton of money and time not...
