Ran Forscan see captured output below.
What I see on the second code is "Circuit Open"
Could this be the "grease getting into the contacts" issue with the servo motor? As described at about 2:52 in this video:
Code: B1081 - Left Temperature Damper Motor
Additional Fault Symptom :)07):
-...
I'll check that.
BTW, Just so I am clear, previously you folks were talking about some washer shims. Would that be at the location of the red arrow in the photo attached?
I never messed with the dual setting in the climate menu. It turned off by itself.
Looks like the Foxwell 510 elite (~$140) can read FCIM data on Fords. Hard for me to spend $500+ on a code reader unless I am doing this professionally.
No change with fuse 12 reset.
One thing I do notice is that I no longer have driver/passenger independent temp control. Adjusting temperature on driver's side shows Temp increase/ decrease on the display for both sides. I wonder if that is some sort of fall back operation of the climate...
I was listening for clicking and I heard nothing as I adjusted the temp up and down. As if the servo and blend door is not moving at all.
Set to cool, it is cool air out the passenger's vents, tepid air on the driver's side. Once the engine warms up it is warm air out the driver's side...
So I played with the Ranger's climate control this afternoon. My problem is just on the driver's side. I will attempt to pull the servo on the driver's side this weekend.
I'm at 17k miles on a 2019 which is out of warranty and I'm and not pulling the dash out for the official repair. Not...
If warpage has caused the "pin to jump out of the track" as described previously, Would it be possible to 3d print a newly designed arm/pin to address this issue? I'm pretty good with this kind of stuff.
It was warm today and I turned on the A/C for the first time this year and was greeted...
Yes, I made those. When 3d printed they are about 1mm thick. For those with vinyl cutters you should be able to convert the 3d models to DXF using OpenSCAD.
If you want to dazzle people behind you at night you could print the letters with this stuff (a bit expensive though)...
Ratios of the 10 speed understood. But compare to something like an A4LD that has ratios like:
2.47:1 1st gear 1.47:1 2nd gear 1.00:1 3rd gear 0.75:1 4th gear 2.1:1 reverse.
That 4.69 to 1 in 1st is where that "winding" feeling comes from.
I guess I should describe the feeling better...
If...
Here was my story.

I got away at $600 with a used lens.
As for a mystery crack. Somebody could have bumped you, or you might have bumped into something...
The thing I find with the Ranger is that the small motor is geared down through the 10 speeds and diff, so you get that wound up feeling in the drivetrain in low gears. Kind of hard to describe. It's like an RC car with an electric motor that is geared down.
I am at low miles on my 2019...
Ditto - Weize AGM delivered to your door:

They usually have a Prime day sale on thier website with significant discount.
Thanks for the confirmations. Mechanic seemed honest, but it was all a bit pricey.
I will probably install the Bilstein 5100 monotubes in the rear myself in short order.
One other thing - The front sway bar links on the Rangers are also sub-par. He replaced those as well. Plastic ball...
Just took my 2019 Ranger in for PA state inspection. Mechanic called and said the front struts were shot. Anyone else run into early strut failure? My mileage is low due to Covid and I have an alternate vehicle. It's a 2019 so age is probably a contributing factor. Still seems early...
You keep comparing Australian Apples with US Oranges!
I have not found it to be the case of flat panel air filters having a bad seal.
This is even applicable to my 1988 Scorpio.
OK, but you are in Australia. They did not start selling 3rd generation Rangers in US until 2019. Did 2015 Australian Rangers have automatic start stop? (ASS)
Fully agree Cmar, The solution is a large paper filter, and I think the manufacturers have taken that approach. Change the stock paper filter on the schedule and all is good.
I am really against using a K&N on a turbo'd direct injected engine.
