Lol true, but once you build the ranger into a different truck, it's perfect. I've always been a Ford guy but, the new canyon/Colorado is looking mighty fine. Sold drive shaft included.
Yeah, to echo as some have said and to answer questions, Tom Woods said no boot over the splines was really necessary since there is a wiper seal in there keeping the internals clean. Greasing is recommended for about every 6k miles, not a huge deal to me and is over shadowed by the shaft...
Correct, basically the ones currently sold said incompatible with the Tremor models since we have a unique mating point on the rear diff. Instead of the standard 4 bolt, we got an 8 bolt. I suppose anyone could make the conversion needed from the 4 to 8 like seen in the pic, but it's definitely...
Oh yeah this one definitely an improvement. Like many have said, a beefy solid should have been factory.
I'm not sure yet, that's one thing I need to still talk to them about, I honestly would've thought it came with one. I'll let you know what they say.
I bring news to the Tremors that have been left out of the solid drive shafts. I was able to take mine in to Tom Woods and get a Tremor adapter prototyped. I must say it was a success and I finally solved that God damn shake and squeak at acceleration. I didn't really want to F around with a...
Lol yeah so, that one got torn off on Elephant Hill down in southern Utah when my axle was at full flex the tire grabbed it. It looks bad right now because I have the other side rear still. The fender is ok, I just need more rubber liner for it before it goes back on.
Also thanks! Not many...
Anyone dropped their center bearing? Or know of a good kit for this? I want to know if it worked out. I am currently having major vibrationts/squeaking when accelerating from a stop until about 15-20mph. I think it's the driveline due to the amount of lift the 3.1" lift OME leaf springs gave me...
This is what I wanted to see, I like how easy it is in theory, also the fact that I could just remove it when not towing if it had a rougher ride. However the icon leaf pack it's quite a bit taller that the stock, do you think it would still fit?
I think I'm riding so low just due to the fact the the ICON leaf kits are so soft. Even tho they boast 600lb constant load I think the stock tremor leafs were better for towing. Stock tremor springs are upgraded compared to standard package Rangers as well. Also, when camping etc I have a roof...
Currently I have Fox 2.5 remote res shocks, upgraded front coil springs to 600lbs to accommodate the 300lb bumper/winch and I have amazing ride quality both loaded and unloaded. No vibrations, but I assume that's due to the fox set up. The Icons are super soft, great for on and off road, loaded...
That's originally what I am attempting to avoid, but if I want to put my RTT on and tow, plus all the other goodies, I may need the heavey load springs if the active road things aren't able to fix the issue.
The trailer is about 1250 lbs itself, the rzr sits at 1900lbs. It's a 14' trailer and the rzr is about 11'. I positioned the rzr about 1.5 ft from the front, placing the rear tires (heaviest part) just on the back side of the trailer. I could probably move it back a foot but I wanted more weight...
So I bought a new toy, and with that came towing in my ranger for the first time. Needless to say, the Icon leaf springs are not up to the task even at level 3 im riding the bump stops, though they have been awesome offroading. Anyone here had experience with the roadactive leaf helpers? Are...
