Smart solution. Silly scary problem.
Loco indeed. Get ratchet socket and box end of proper size. Drive to Ace (whatever hardware store you favor) , remove one remaining bolt. Take inside. Match length diameter and thread w/ another bolt (maybe grade 8 maybe not as might need to shear) ...
Sounds HORRID. Take it to dealer for diagnosis. I have 10K on my Ranger and have never heard anything so jarring except when I ran the procedure to prime the ABS ( to resolve mushy brake pedal).
No reason @ all. Because the stock wheel have +55mm offset and these wheels 0mm offset, they will poke 2" out the sides like outriggers. May super love this look. I do not. I went with 17x10's with +25mm offset and 295/70 tires (I have lift kit). The tires are inside the wheel wells and...
Electric locker can run open diff at all times. Leaves choosing to lock up to driver. I prefer this myself. I think the auto lockers are more complex and may wear faster.
2020 Ford Ranger Fx4 Crew Cab has BDS 3.5" Lift with Upper Control Arms. Kit has shackle lift on rear. PLENTY of room to do this mod w/o jacking truck.
Purchased Flowmaster 717909 FlowFX Cat-Back Exhaust System (Best price @ time here WAS ABOUT $470 IN s&h...
I pull a 1500 pound overland trailer with 2 very sturdy 5 gallon gas tanks on the tongue. I strap them down with crossed 3" straps. They are not going any where. Comes in VERY handy when in the wild away from a gas station. The spout goes right into the capless gas cap. I only use the...
Reason #1: If you dont have it, the engine bay looks like someone stole your engine cover, kind of ugly. #2: I think it actually absorbs a few db of noise, being made from $5 of dense foam.
Replace shocks in rear, maybe front also since the weight is shift/bouncing fore to aft. Start w/ rears. I have BDS lift Kit and BDS Rear shocks, less float / wallow. Folks like Fox and Bilstein for zero lift replacements. Rancho also makes upgrade shock RS55024.
I pulled the anti roll bars off my '20 Fx4. Glad I did as articulation is MUCH improved. Ya, corners with a little more lean but I am not trying to win races in a slalom.
Completely stoked about this. If it was not so late I'd do it now. Mushy pedal does not drive me nuts but it is kind of weird. Will have to wait until tomorrow. Thanks for sharing the very helpful info!
Check out the BDS 3.5" lift with extensions and Upper Control Arms up front and shackle lifts in rear. Unless you are planning on Baja racing you probly don't need external reservoirs on front or rear. I installed this w/ the BDS Low Profile intrusion beans and run 295/70 R 17 tires on 17X10...
I had my local 4 Wheel Parts shop install the BDS 3.5 inch lift with UCA's and the BDS Diff Drop. The BDS steel is about 2x thicker than the stock welded on one. It is pretty damn solid. I don't think it is going ANYWHERE. I have been about 4000 miles with it, a couple hundred on rocky off...
If you like to hear the turbine spin up and the pop off valve hiss install the Injen cold Air intake. https://truckandgear.com/injen/inj-b2e1-pf9071wb.html GOBS more filter area so reduces pumping losses and improves fuel economy. Not sure about how fine it filters too, but mine seems to keep...
TONS of wasted space there. They should have just made a boxed under the perimiter of the back seat bottom, instead, 2 silly little bins occupying maybe 50% of the space otherwise taken up by a big empty metal platform.
