Hi Frenchy, confusion is my middle name :) I was just forwarding what Nils at ARM / OME told me about the ARB / OME EL121R, he said they'd add 1.5" lift and 600lbs carrying capacity. The truck runs with a little rake unloaded, and flat / no rake or rear sag, when fully loaded and pulling my...
Hi nsalcedo20
I took the long way to get where I am. I started the mods with a BDS 3.5 Inch Lift Kit (https://bds-suspension.com/products/3-5-inch-lift-kit-ford-ranger-19-23-4wd) . This replaced the stock upper control arms with very nice BDS UCA's, kept stock rear springs, replaced the rear...
I already had the BDS 1" shackle lift on the rear. I like the shackle lift over blocks as the shackle lift does not increase propensity to axle wrap as would blocks. Later I replaced the stock rear springs the ARB / OME EL121R, which adds 600 lbs capacity and 1.5" lift. This combo works...
I used these
FOX 985-24-068 Universal Standard Travel Eyelet End Shock Absorber
after swapping stock springs for ARB / OME ARB 1-418-EL12 with added carrying capacity and 1" lift, plus the BDS 1" Shackle lift. Though called "standard travel", they have plenty of travel. I dont think I have...
As the part you circled in red is off center, truck might lean when jacked there. I used a block and shim to raise the front end. Then put jack stands on the frame. Kinda ugly but it worked great.
TLDR: Muffler wrap dramtically quiets the system enabling muffler delete. After which - Still quiet!
I installed the Flowmaster 717909 FlowFX Cat-Back Exhaust System on my Fx4 about 4 yrs ago.
This is a 3.00-inch Mandrel-bent system made of 409 Stainless Steel Tubing. Not ridiculous huge...
I got this refrigerator / freezer ... https://www.thinkmaxtoy.com/products/zokop-bcd60-60l-compressor-key-display-car-refrigerator-cold-rolled-gray-pho-0vwekv6m ... on eBay under ZOPKOP brand for $300 in 2021. Exterior is thin aluminum, now has some dents but still going strong!
I suspect that with all the sensors and compute power dedicated to ensuring exact correct fuel / air mixture, at all imaginable temps and air pressure, you are doing any harm to your motor. Frost bite sux, as does the broiling temp in my cab after sitting in AZ summer sun for a few hours.
I have about 50k miles on my Fx4 XLT. Been super happy with my Icon Vehicle Dynamics Extended Travel 2.5 V.S. IR Coilover Shock Kit - 91255 (3.5" lift), BDS UCA's up front and in back, ARB - OME EL121R springs (1.5" lift), BDS 1" shackle lifts and FOX 985-24-068 SHOCKs. @ 60K miles I hope you...

Can't get 93 Octane in Arizona, we have to get by with the diluted preium gas from California - 91 Octane. Went to Texas a few years back. They had real premium 93 Octane gasoline. The difference in power was quite noticeable.
A trickle charger / maintainer could make life much easier. I upgraded my stock H6 to and H7 Battery, under $139 @ Costco with rebate and core swap. Super happy with it.
I use premium / 91 Octane fuel in AZ. We get the low octane "premium" fuel they make in CA. In TX, I got premium fuel - 93 Octane. My motor made discernably more power with 93 Octane fuel.
Some say the 1080R won't let them move into very hi gear when going downhill, they shift to neutral when not needing engine braking. No problems with that move.
