On the signal part, that depends, some apps allow you to download offline maps, I know Google Maps does, so even in no cell/wifi coverage areas you are good to go. When I go to the mountains of NC I switch from using Waze that requires internet to using Google Maps for this reason.
I wish once Ford gives up on Sync3 updates they would give the source code out so the community can continue to work with it. One bug in my Ranger that drives me nuts is that while using navigation (Waze) and listening to music or audio book, it doesn't return the music/book audio volume to the...
I think that is going to depend on the year, exact trim (300, 301, 302) and options. Some of the older XLTs had power folding. I know on my 2021 XLT (301) with tech package I had to add the switch, wiring to cabin harness and added wiring to both door harnesses. I hear some say you can just buy...
I can't speak to how a camera system would impact the officier's decision to ticket or not, or if the laws have any consideration for electronic alternatives. But, I know that having mirrors that look like they are up to the job, could prevent getting pulled over to start with.
I call it i limitation because that is how they word it in the headings. Yes, on the left it does mention reduced performance. But, if attempting to tow at 70, beyond the frontal limits, perhaps that is why the heat and limp mode. So, it is very on topic./
Yeah, 55sq ft is not much. I've pulled...
I installed the 5100s on the rear of mine, I got a good deal on them and since the dimensions are nearly the same between the 4600 and 5100, it's more of a finish difference than anything. The other thing that helped was going from the standard load tires the truck came with and going to extra...
Towed the RS from Eastern NC to Atlanta, GA. This pic was while I was still waiting on the pocket stake tie-downs to arrive. Here for the 2025 ARRC/Double SARRC/Time Trail/..... weekend. Drove down on Thursday and driving back on Monday.
From my experience, the lights work fine in auto. And I can get 12V without putting it in gear, I just turn on the tow/haul mode. But, I don't think it's the in gear that is making triggering the voltage, my guess is that when you pressed the brake to put it into gear it detected the trailer...
Well, when I picked it up last week they didn't find anything wrong. Tech said there were no codes. I mentioned that that is not how I read the TSB, it stated that in addition to customer concerns the codes "may be present". They said they would have to get it back in to do the pressure testing...
I dropped mine off at the dealer this morning for trans shifting issues. We'll see what they say, and find out what they do/did to diagnose it. Sadily the TSB was released after I was well past 36k miles that allowed them to just replace the whole transmission, so I didn't bother with rushing...
Generally a good idea to strikeout the replaced text and make the new text bold/italic/colored so make the change is clear to the readers, otherwise they think they were warped to an alternate universe where you asked the question correctly the first time and experiencing some Mandela episode...
Well, on my computers I ended up retiring the old FX8350 since it's not going to support Win11 and uses a lot of power. Moved the B550/3950X/RTX3060-12GB into the case the FX8350 was it along with an upgrade to 64GB of ram using sticks that are certified for the board to support running all 4...
If the trailer is starting to sway, it's best to manually apply the trailer brakes, not the truck's brakes. Doing this will normally cause enough drag to pull the trailer straight behind the tow vehicle so you can regain control. If the manual application of the trailer brakes is locking the...
4 new tires. Was planning on end of Oct before going to GA, but Wednesday the front tire kicked up a razer in the road and the rear tire caught it. So, tires this weekend. Switched from the Dynapro AT-M to Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 tires with Extra Load rating.
Confirm the laws in your state (Or Canadian equivalent), and those you plan to drive in. Most that I've checked have laws against any films/tints on lights.
