  1. Borne Off-Road Snorkel R&D Thread

Only seen it crawling hills in the desert. All situations were dry desert conditions. :o
  2. Borne Off-Road Snorkel R&D Thread

Not sure, but with all the advertising, social media & Ford off-road testing videos floating around on the Bronco I sure hope they took water crossings into consideration.
  3. Borne Off-Road Snorkel R&D Thread

Very true Ford failed us on water wading capabilities here in the US. If the non US spec vehicles can wade deeper i'm sure it can be done to ours in the aftermarket... wont be easy but nothing's impossible.

Excited for my "Poser pipe", lets hope the materials aren't sitting around at the port for too long!
  5. Borne Off-Road Snorkel R&D Thread

I don’t think the Bronco got a sealed alternator but I might be wrong.
  6. Borne Off-Road Snorkel R&D Thread

At the end of the day this is a snorkel for off-road use and protection from the elements, yes our alternators suck and Ford will never live that down. I think having the option to run it with or without the plug in minutes is awesome. IMO as long as it doesn’t loose HP receiving air 100% down...

I've been wondering the same thing, but i'd rather wait for them to ship it when the plug included vs chasing that down after delivery.

@Mishimoto Awesome design! Being able to maintain factory power with the stock inlet plugged is amazing, gains while using the factory scoop is cool. Hopefully the plug will come with the kit or could get one after they're finalized.

My guess is that having two sources of air will probably be the most power . With the plug installed, probably be right around stock but you never know what the ram air effect could do. Either way heatsoaking is another factor When running back to back dyno runs. The turbo sounds amazing...

You guys rock, thanks for making this piece!! Will it be included in the kit? Sry for being the squeaky wheel, looking forward to installing the snorkel on my truck.
  11. Borne Off-Road Snorkel R&D Thread

Thank you for that video, didn’t notice it posted with the photos, ehhh doesn’t look too bad honestly, funny how the OE, scoop was put back on at the end, seems counterintuitive if you’re trying to grab air from a higher “cleaner/less wet” point. @Mishimoto will you guys include a block off...
  12. Borne Off-Road Snorkel R&D Thread

I’m sure @Mishimoto will have to address this in the kits or buyers won’t give good feedback and the snorkel flops. Telling me to use camper shell tape around the hood is laughable…
  13. Borne Off-Road Snorkel R&D Thread

Does anyone have links to the actual snorkel installation? I don’t think an under hood shot was ever shared with us? Does the airbox need to be cut to attach the snorkels charge pipe? The factory scoop not being addressed in the “kit” is upsetting… Wouldn’t it make more sense to run the...
  14. Rivian or Ranger dilemma

    No brainer keep the Ranger!!!
  15. Borne Off-Road Snorkel R&D Thread

@Mishimoto Ordered, thanks for making this possible, Sealed alternators next LOL! :)
  16. Borne Off-Road Snorkel R&D Thread

This snorkel ready yet?! LOL @Mishimoto
  17. Borne Off-Road Snorkel R&D Thread

Were you able to successfully modify a T5 Ranger snorkel??! **Wishful thinking**
  18. Borne Off-Road Snorkel R&D Thread

I’m skeptical on this snorkel being produced, I would assume Rangers aren’t top of their list. Lets hope the snorkel isn’t cheaply made I had a Mishimoto radiator on an S2000 I owned years ago and it never failed, welds were so-so but it didn’t leak. I wonder if it’s dyno results holding up the...
