  1. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Thank you. I’ve read 6 quarts should be enough. Does that sound right? Any recommendations for filter? FOMOCO? Or?
  2. What did you do to your Ranger today?

My truck has about 50k miles, I was gonna do a drain and fill (dropping the pan since everything is stock). Would you recommend the filter swap since the pan is off? Also, do we have a 10r80 or 10r60? I have a 2020 XLT FX2 if it matters.
  3. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Installed the RCI engine (2 piece) skid plate today. Didn’t know the FX2 package came with the plastic skid plate….. wasn’t a fan of the fake look. This is the 3/16 steel version. Super easy install, took under an hour.

oh it’s definitely the angle of the photo then. The sensor leans toward driver side when looking in from the front.
  5. Replaced Fan Clutch Wire Support Tube - Details / How To

Thank you. I ended up making my hose about an inch longer than the OEM broken one I removed. I did but about 2 feet of hose though, should I cut a longer piece and refit it? I had my wife start the truck while I watched this replacement setup and it doesn’t move much. Don’t know if that’s a good...
  6. Replaced Fan Clutch Wire Support Tube - Details / How To

thanks! I bought a 10 pack of hose clamps, so I’ll swap another one where the spring clamp is. Appreciate the help.
  7. Replaced Fan Clutch Wire Support Tube - Details / How To

good to know. Since I did buy my truck used. Are there any other areas I should be looking at to check for wear or age? The truck has 51k miles and was owned in Arizona, so not much rust or road salt issues. I’ve been a Ford owner all my life and not afraid to get my hand dirty with maintenance.
  8. Replaced Fan Clutch Wire Support Tube - Details / How To

Just spotted the issue on my 2020. I’ve only have the truck for a little over a week but still, during a peek under the hood it was spotted, busted the write up on this thread to make the fix. What a ridiculous design Ford used for this, garbage actually.
  9. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Finished installing the Bilstein 6112 in the front (6th clip position, should settle to 2.6-2.7” of lift) and 5100 in the rear. Very straight forward install, but the use of spring compressors makes me fully understand how fragile human life is. Ha. Also fixed this little hose in the engine...
  10. What did you do to your Ranger today?

I didn’t think too much about the total weight but I did know I wanted to stay at 33” or less of tire. I have a few friends who went with 35” and 315/70 tires and run into power problems as well as shifting issues. I figure the 285/70r17 is a pretty common tire on these Rangers and the 33x10.50...
  11. What did you do to your Ranger today?

I had the same tires (different size: 37x12.50r17) on my f150 a few years back. Amazing tire, quiet on the road and tread wears even and long lasting.
  12. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Thanks, I had originally had my sights set on a 4x4 but after having a real discussion with myself it wasn’t really a need, just a want. I live in So Cal where the weather doesn’t require it and my once a month trip into the local fore roads or desert trails don’t really require it. I figured...
  13. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Picked up a 2020 Ranger XLT with the FX2 package on Sunday. Installed the Raptor style grill tonight and plan on installing Bilstein 6112s in the front and 5100s in the rear over the weekend. I have a set of Kenda Klever R/T 33x10.50r17 tires and some aftermarket wheels that should get fitted in...
  14. Bilstein 6112 leveling kit

Hey group, I’m new to the forum coming from a Fusion Energi (ended up being a recall buyback due to EV battery failure). I recently purchased a pair of 6112s and 5100s for the rear. Fun fact is I don’t have my Ranger yet…. But aiming to pick up a 2019 or 2020 XLT 4x4 or FX4, depending on...
