I was at my dealership two weeks ago and asked them the very same question. They said it was standard for the trigger to stay depressed while in sport mode. They said that it was to make it to where you could quickly pop it back in to drive mode if needed.....I know, weird.

Yes! That is exactly what I have noticed also. Makes my brain totally focus on the brakes when I stop. Almost makes me want to shift to park.....

Eventually, you will think that you need a tailgate dampener.....for the lightest tailgate ever on a pickup truck. Lol!!

Okay, but now I have recently started using "sport mode" quite a bit and I seem to be grabbing for the brakes more!!! I wish the brakes would respond as quick as that 10 speed tranny does. Unbelievable how quick this truck is.....

I have noticed but not mentioned that my brakes have seemed a little soft from the day that I purchased my 2019 back in December. Just seems like you have to push the pedal way down before the braking starts. My wife's 2017 Escape has had very responsive braking from the day we got it. I did...
