  1. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Yep. Ford 18 inchers. They are on mine too. Come with 265/60R18 Hankook rubber
  2. Manual vs Automatic Transmission

Great topic! Everybody has an opinion! I love manual transmissions, and I try really hard to love automatics, but I don't. Automatics are for convenience. And I love convenience, but for driving, sometimes the convenience exacts a high price for me. There are several things about a manual...
  3. If you’re gonna be dumb…

Jersey... You didn't give the mob their cut...
  4. If you’re gonna be dumb…

The downside of the tailgate damper. If no damper, you'd have heard the boom. Sorry Dave... Maybe you guys can develop a warning light kit to go with the damper.
  5. Beautiful pic of shoddy electrical work

I was working live inside a machine control panel. Sometimes you have to do risky things, and sometimes you just get complacent. I was tired and rushing a little to get finished. Put my hand in the wrong place, and BOOOM. I actually told my buddy next to me I was getting shocked, and he...
  6. Beautiful pic of shoddy electrical work

Ever get bit by 480? I did, and lived to tell the tale. Took several years to fully heal, (still itches occasionally as nerves re-connect) and I have a scar today. But I lived, and the hand still works.
  7. Beautiful pic of shoddy electrical work

You definitely have a problem there. An electrician can fix it for you. Probably not too expensive (especially compared to burning down the house). I can't advise on what the code says about using holes other than factory knockouts, but the knockouts are for installer's convenience, and you...
  8. Beautiful pic of shoddy electrical work

Those ain't welding marks. And the black pile isn't tar from the roof. That AWG4 wire appears to be the main feeder coming IN to the panel from the utility connection / transformer (an extremely high-current source). Looks to me like there ALREADY WAS a fire, and they replaced the feeder...
  9. DIY Bed Drawer Build

It's not as cheap as vinyl, but it's a lot less than PTFE (Teflon). Somebody else in here suggest to check McMaster-Carr also. This is a great suggestion. They offer the stuff in rolls, like tape. McMaster does mark up the stuff a bit, but like the saying goes, "If McMaster doesn't have it...
  10. Modded 2021 FX4 (Black Widow?) Only $69k

I didn't mean sketchy that way. When I parsed it, it seemed like a name for a place offering some sort of ...unusual... scans by Ford. It is probably a mild form of dyslexia, but it startled me when I read it. I guess it makes logical sense to be consistent with the other group members, but I...
  11. Modded 2021 FX4 (Black Widow?) Only $69k

There is probably something wrong with me, but that domain name looks a little sketchy.
  12. DIY Bed Drawer Build

Rivet Nuts are excellent for this, as long as you're drilling holes anyway. They are threaded inserts that install just like Pop Rivets. Aluminum inserts are pretty easy to install, and cheap. They also would not tend to induce corrosion in the aluminum bed (I think it's aluminum, right?)...
  13. DIY Bed Drawer Build

These guys have UHMW HDPE available. It's a LOT cheaper than PTFE, and usually better for bearing slides. It's almost as slippery, and doesn't cold flow like Teflon. https://www.onlinemetals.com/en/buy/plastic-sheet-plate-uhmw-natural-virgin
  14. $15.00 and hour?

Pretty spot on. But I didn't say you were a millennial OR a genius. Just that the millennials making fun of boomers about tech usually have in mind how slick they are on iOS... (But if the shoe fits...) P.S. NOBODY knows how Windows works... (Have you tried turning it off and on again?)
  15. $15.00 and hour?

This is those hippies I was referring to earlier. My dad's first house cost $3600 in 1965. Admittedly it was a "fixer-upper"
  16. $15.00 and hour?

Imagine a millennial thinking they are a genius because they can use devices designed by boomers to be easy to use. LOLZ... <Serious moment> The cell phone and the computer were invented and developed by boomers. We (except when we are just kidding around) should stop putting people in boxes...
  17. $15.00 and hour?

    This thread is so ?
  18. $15.00 and hour?

And when we finally made it, the hippies had got there first and ruined it for everybody...
  19. $15.00 and hour?

Is that OCR font? Snort, giggle...
  20. Well, Ill be damned... 10R80

I've noticed this, too, and I'm not sure why this happens. Maybe it's something related to engine breathing / catalyst management. Maybe mitigating intake valve deposits? IDK. It's weird.
