Im just going to replace the High and DRL with LED bulbs I think.
I've used the Morimoto Mini H1 5.0? Kit on a 1989 BMW and got impressive results for the money so I am not afraid of trying out their new Mini D2S Kit.
Probably wouldn't hurt to put a canbus in the harness, on the 1989 it...
Looking into the universals a D2S kit with square lenses would probably best fit our trucks looks. I wonder if we need Canbus' or Relays to prevent service lights.
I too was wondering about doing a retrofit like a Morimoto kit.
Like one from here: https://www.theretrofitsource.com/projector-kits/retrofit-kits-universal.html
I wonder if it could be prevented in the future by just loading all the connections on it with dielectric grease to keep the mud out of the plugs.
I just find it hard to believe they expect you not to ford water greater then the like 8in to the hub.
Could just be the mud was rough on it.
I went onto the 4x4 Loop, Only trail there us Big boys are allowed on.
There are two main entrances, one is just a bunch of moguls before the trail, its right across from the main Elf staging area. This is where I went in since Stock truck. The other entrance is just up the road and you take a...

Not pictured: My Parents freaking out I would offroad the Truck I just bought.
I Scuffed with different scotch brite pads till it was very scuffed looking, then used adhesion promoter on all the edges just in case.
The drains im talking about are at the front where the box goes vertical, there is a little valley at the joint and if you look on each side there is like a...
Has anyone tried 16x8 ET20 wheels with big tires?
I was thinking 16x8 ET20's with 255-85-16s
or
17x8ish ET10-20 with 255-80-17s
Tall and skinny. 16s would just be easier to find in ET20. Not a huge fan of the whole 2in out of fender stickout ET0 has on 8+in wide wheels.
The snorkel on the 'base camp' ranger at SEMA is just one made for the International T6 Ranger. If you search 'T6 Ranger Snorkel' on ebay or aliexpress you will probably find it.
You could probably use it but will probably need a different pipe from the snorkel to the intake.
Saw a Grey XLT Sport yesterday in traffic. First actual Washington Plate Ranger I've seen.
If any of yall want to go offroad somewhere hit me up, I'd like to actually test out the FX4 package a little more than a gravel road.
I did CQuartz UK 3.0 on my ranger the week I got it, just washed it really good and paint felt really smooth so didn't feel like introducing scratches by clay baring to stay my worry.
It went on super easy and the car beads water like literal magic, washing it off is as easy as grabbing a hose...
Here in Bellingham, WA. I've literally seen only one other ranger up here and im pretty sure it was a Canadian from BC.
Hope to see more of them pop up! Lots of trails to explore.
Your Enemy is movement, so if you put some foam tape or spray some rubberized bedliner on top of a couple of the rails that would be best for protecting scratches from forming. But otherwise its inevitable that it will eventually wear through. Ive had it happen to my Toyota with OEM liner.
Got 27mpg on the drive home with it, all highway.
Getting about 21mpg too and from work, lots of stop and go and I'm not used to the electric pedal yet.
Alright I still might put something in those side areas just in case I spray too thick but I't sounds like its hard to block it up.
One I have the raptorliner in its time to get the steel out and make a tent rack.
Hi Guys,
Just picked up a 2019 Lightning Blue XLT FX4 and will be putting in a Raptorliner myself Like I have done on previous trucks. I noticed the ranger seems to have a drip/drain valley in the front of the bed with slits on each side. Im assuming they did this so water would not sit in the...
