With my towing the Toy Hauler I can say wind and some truck passes were interesting but not a full seat pucker factor! It is heavy on the factory hitch but I suspect the helper bumper stops or air bags will significantly improve that. It did on my Dakota with the same trailer.
Well you have my interest piqued since I am trying to plan a way to put the Demco 13k Auto slide 5th wheel hitch in my SCAB for a small light (under 7500 gross) 25-26' fifth wheel camper. Been looking at different bracket instructions for the f-150 and I am encouraged!
Just catching up here and looks like lots of good experienced views shared. Can't really argue with any of them, here is my experience after 2 years of occasionally using my little toy hauler. It's a little heavier than some have recommended for our 2.3 but I have had no issues except on bad...
Well Maintained toyhauler. Ranger pulls it easily. Price reduced! Asking $15,600 OBO Compact toy hauler 3080 lbs empty can carry near 4500! Very good shape. New roof seal and toilet replacement last year. Brakes, bearings and serviced less than 2 years ago. Great tread tows well, getting larger...
I'm starting to look into this, also. Selling my small toyhauler and want to upgrade to a small 5th wheel since I don't have a motorcycle, anymore. There are plenty of options out there under the 7500 GVR and I am pretty sure I could mount one of the manual sliders but am leaning to the Demco...
I still love our SCAB. I've been slacking on posting but we towed our 4000-4500 pound small toyhauler to Boise, no sweat. Some of the rough roads do talk back to you when you have 4 axles bouncing through it, have to say, but climbing passing braking, absolutely no issue. Pulled our new tandem...
So did the TPMS talk to your Ranger? I have a chance to buy a set of these and think they'll look awesome on my truck. When I tow the trailer I'll go back to the 30 inch but I have a running board so the missus can step up in the mean time! Any advice on this is welcome. Sorry been so busy. I...
OK, so today's call from the service department in short; Some seals on the engine valve cover have failed in the past and the insulator on the spark plug cover can short. Parts are on order, hope to have my truck back soon cause my lead foot wife says the Tacoma rental is underpowered!:LOL...
So my wife does the books for a Mazda Specialist shop we have known for years. He was kind enough to take a look. Pulled a misfire #1 code. He took the coil pack off and the hole was filled with water that looks like it's been there a very long time! Not coolant. So he got some of it out said as...
Yeah I sold my big Triumph Thunderbird Storm a bit ago because of my deteriorating back. Missing it now. I have an electric tandem which will look like I stole it if I ride the 14 miles to work!
Been awhile since I checked in. I got the flashing engine light today with the big shudder/missing intermittently this morning. Got back home with the light staying on now, and a miss shudder going up the hill. Soonest any dealer can get me in is the 22nd, holy moly, I still need to get to work...
I was there about 3 ish. I'm glad that seat is comfortable. Took an hour and 40 minutes compared to my normal 30-40 minutes. Still better than what was happening on I5. Be seeing you.
I’ve got up to 25.3 2wd, 66-70 mph, 70% freeway with auto stop start on. Some stop and go usually about 3 miles out of 35 mile commute. Dropped to 10 towing trailer through small towns got just over 13 smooth driving on freeway with it.
