Yes I get the pop up on the bottom of the main sync screen when I plug in my phone. I press that and it takes me to the android auto main screen which works fine but where I run into trouble is trying to open spotify or maps. If those apps are not open on my phone it gives me a little message...
Thanks for the responses. I guess I'll have to look into a cheap and more compatible phone when mine finally kicks the bucket. Until then I'll see if there's any updates or look into the AA website to see if there are any solutions.
Android version 9 on an Alcatel. I don't see the maps button on the main screen, just an apps button that I find useless. When I plug in the phone to the USB it opens AA but not spotify or maps. Any suggestions?
Haha no offense taken. That's a sweet busa! As far as my knowledge of the tones I can only speak from experience and what I've seen. My first car was an srt4 (I know just a neon lol) and my last was a 6.0l F250. The srt was a dump pipe only and the 250 was straight piped from the turbo back...
Trying to figure out if there's a way to make Android auto open up my apps for me. I only use google maps and spotify. If it's not open on my phone the head unit says "it's not working right" or something along those lines. The fix right now is go to my phone and open up the apps. Just wondering...
I'm just thinking there's gotta be a way to get a clean turbo sound without all the extra gargle. I haven't looked at the factory exhaust but maybe 3 inch straight downpipe to a resonator or muffler to tip.
No love? Haha anyways I'll start with my BONE stock Fx4 as a baseline:
1.
2. Hankook Dynapro AT 265/65r17
3. OEM Ford magnetic 17"
4. Factory lift height
5. No rub/issues
No I'm saying why have the option shown if it doesn't work. But I got mine to work and was able to look at the lame ass app selection. So back to... Why even have it? The sync/AA is shotty work imo and I'm coming from an old analog. Just venting but I'm not impressed. To me things seem to work...
Writing the tune would take a lot of understanding of the vehicle and the software. Not something that just anyone can do or learn to do quickly.
So you basically have a few options. Tuning through Ford, tuning from one of the online shops (Livernois, 5star, etc) or going to a performance...
Just bought a 21 Fx4 super crew. Right now I'm bone stock and wondering if anyone had any recommendations on where to take the Ranger to get some mud on the tires. Or rocks lol. Relatively new to offroading and just looking to do some easy offroading/sight seeing if anyone has any...
How do I know if I have sync 1 or 3?
Why is there an apps section on the main screen but when I hit find apps it says there are none?
In android auto, is there a way to make it turn on spotify or maps instead of me going to my phone to open it? If the apps are not open it tells me it's not...
Hey everyone!
Back in the day on the older ranger forums we had a thread dedicated to pictures of tire fitment with consolidated info. It would serve to educate each other on what fits and what to expect when buying. I'd love to see that here. Show off your Rangers!
Here's how it works:

Just curious, has anyone run a downpipe only on these trucks? As in downpipe to open air? Was it oem diameter piping or larger? Did it sound good or likegarbage? Are there sensors after the downpipe? More boost lag? Thanks!
On my 250 I out the seats up and jammed in one of those cheap 3 tier plastic rubbermaid drawers worked decently. Maybe fab up a wooden riser and put the shelf on top so you can still access the oem storage.
