I'd add a can of compressed air if you don't have a compressor and/or brake clean and some rags. I used both. My truck lives on the road and the area around the opening was nasty. Mostly dust but right on top of the fill. Don't want to get crap in the trans trying to take care of the trans IMO...

You are correct. Even under mild acceleration it pushed the dipstick forward a bit. So had I stomped on it.... oy....yf refrigerant.. not cheap.

I am not waiting for the Ford recommended coolant stuff. Going to do it far more often but just dump and flush the radiator and surge tank. Might do a real flush if/when I do hit that mileage.
