I have them in aluminum and they “feel” stout. I put them to the test at our local ORV area and didn’t notice any concerns.
They are ok but a couple things to note. You lose about an inch of ground clearance. The front does not use stock mounts as they use an adapter that goes between the...
I just installed mine a couple weeks back. Im happy with the build quality but was pretty surprised that I lost an inch of ground clearance at the cross member vs the FX4 plate. I’m also not sure why they used a diff mount point at the tow hook / frame. Granted I’m no engineer either.
If your looking to waste spend money I’d suggest getting the Sherpa rack. It’s beefy as all get out. For GFC camper owners I cannot recommend their “Stratus” racks. It’s got a couple design flaw that they have yet to address.
I looked at the Alu-carb, from what I have read it’s good quality, and don’t disagree that it fills a lot of feature the GFC doesn’t. I just couldn’t justify the price for how often I planned on using it. If I was going to use it two plus weekend a month I would have likely moved up to it.
Again you continue to show how petty you really are.
You are correct in that Wes drove an Outback at a point in his life and wrote about that it in relation to his life style at the time. As his life and career has evolved he now lives in MT instead of LA, he picked a truck that he felt meets...
Might not be exactly what your looking for but figured I would at least bring it to your attention.
Sherpa half rack
you could also go with their full rack and modify it.
Pretty sad response. While I’m a satisfied GFC owner and disagree with you on your opinion of their product, I can respect your dislike for them based on your poor experience.
Your response here though speaks volumes for your character though. As a fan of the ranger and I would guess most of us...
I dig my GFC, have not had any technical issues since purchase. Its fit is spot on and I dig that it has T-tracks by default so I can mount about anything I can think of.
It’s not perfect as it’s pretty rare that anything made for a large user base will be. In the rangers case with the RTT, the...
