Don't know this for a fact but I have heard, and it makes sense, that having equal tire pressure is very important on single axle trailers. Also, as another mentioned, a rear facing camera setup is a nice add on.

Just parsing though this thread and enjoying most of it. Not feeling like a weenie for towing a trailer that I believe fits my truck's abilities just pretty good. Also, did not think any one was calling out some one for towing a rig just at the recommended limit. But, now I have had my evening...

Looking like the Ranger may be heading for hibernation again. Sales for the first 1/4 of 2024... over 39K for the Maverick, around 153K for the F150, and fewer than 2K for the Ranger. I don't see Ford keeping the model around with such poor sales.

I only have a heavy rubber bed mat. I take it out often and every time I wash my truck. Trapped moisture is the enemy. That being said, the mat has raised dimples and everywhere they touch is a small yellowish stain.

I have this indoor/outdoor monitor in my truck while I'm towing. It tells me the temp of the refrigerator in the TT. It's just a feel-good thing I do because I can. I don't recall ever paying any attention to the temp inside the truck even though it's there to see.
