My years of driving manual transmissions screams at me to just put it neutral and let the brakes do the work if it can’t handle the downshift. It’s only when I don’t brake slowly that the hard downshift occurs for me though.

The latch behind the seat makes me curse the day I was born. I find pushing down on the seat where the latch connects makes it easy to latch though.

I can‘t tell there’s an arm rest there behind the car seats!

They charge way too much for some extra metal, glass, and badge name. At the same trim level… Traverse to Tahoe or Suburban Explorer to Expedition Ranger to F150 Any mid size truck to full size at same manufacturer ADD $20-30k

When I stop a little quicker, mine tends to clunk in those lower gears. When I brake slowly, it’s fine. The only other thing I notice from the trans is an occasionally hard shift around 5th gear.

This is my argument for why dampers will build strength, not weaken.

Wish I could help. Does your computer let you clear the codes? Perhaps if you clear them, the light will stay off since you replaced the part.

There’s no reason two of us should pay different prices for the same vehicle within a few hours on the same dealer lot. The structure has been a scam at the consumer’s expense for a long time. Buying a car should be an enjoyable experience. Change my mind.
