Wow. Is that a factory installation, or an aftermarket install of accessories. It looks like something our radio shop would do. In one of our Ford F-250's, they installed our opticom system and connected it to the courtesy light harness, so that when we open the door, the opticom system turns...
Worse that happens is it doesn’t have full functionality or doesn’t work. For the price, it won’t hurt to see what it does and doesn’t do.
This is the one in the video for the mushy brake fix, so it will probably at least do that. We’ll see.
Sounds like the forums here need to be updated. I followed the link from here.
I’ll check out the notes at forescan.org. Does this one no longer work, or have reduced functionality, or what?
In the Savannah, GA area... I have 2 studs and two bolts for the engine appearance cover. They come in sets of four, but you only need two of each to install the cover. The extras are free to a good home if you're in the area. Just let me know. It ain't worth shipping them, when you can get...
Update:
Apparently, when reconnecting the sensor for the condenser, during the intake install, I was careless and didn’t put it together exactly right, pushing the middle pin into one of the side pins. This caused the sensor to not communicate properly. They are replacing the sensor and that...
I’ll run around here in shorts and t-shirt when it’s around 40. Everyone always asks if I’m not cold. I tell them I’m from Arizona and 40 is warm. Their next statement is always about how Arizona is desert. I give them the eye roll and tell them that it’s not *all* desert, but that even the...
Update:
Got back under. There are two connectors on the AC compressor. The one on the back of the compressor has power coming to it. The one on the side/top of the compressor does not. That probably activates the clutch.
Went to the area of the catch can hose install. Nothing appears out...
Thanks! That's a big help, I think. I don't understand everything, but I'm assuming since the compressor clutch isn't actuating, it would be the either the clutch field coil (don't know what that is) or the compressor control solenoid. I know the relay and all fuses are good. So, I'm looking...
I'd love a diagram of wiring/connectors under the hood that go to the A/C compressor and clutch. I installed an oil catch can, which required me to work blind on the driver's side of the engine, from the wheel well. I evidently knocked something loose or inadvertently disconnected something...
Oh yeah… I have no idea what that’s like. LMAO. Same thing… it’s for mental health, relaxing (until the simple install becomes complicated), and satisfying. Plus, she also has a black Ranger. Now, they’re not the same truck.
