I picked the Ranger solely on the drivetrain. I have test drove several different Tacomas with the V6 drivetrain. They are THE worst accelerating vehicle i have ever driven there is not one ounce of get up and go. They may run forever but man you are not getting to forever in a hurry. haha.

Hell yeah AND by far the best looking MT, I just cant justify getting them I live in a city now. Duratracs are almost too aggressive for me. You truck looks killer good work!! FPP tune would do you good, not to aggressive just enough.

I run 285/70-17 Duratracs on Fox Stage 2.0z Ford Performance tune and get around 22mpg hand calculated. I think it has more to do with Toyo MT being the HEAVISET tires out there. They look awesome but they weigh a ton.

My Ranger has the block heater. I always plugged my diesel in when it got below 10. My Ranger I plug in when it gets close to zero. Still remote start it for a few while I grab my coffee and head off to work and by the time I unplug get in and go the water temp is at about 1/4 of the way.
