HEADS UP for the guys installing the PPE pan.
Late 22 & early 23 some PPE pans were packaged with incorrect torque specs in the installation instructions. The instructions said to torque the pan bolts to 18-22 ft lbs. At least one member here snapped one or more pan bolts.
I purchased the...
Same for us.....the nearest Sams Club, Harbor Freight, Menards is 50 miles away. It is MUCh cheaper to buy a Sams Plus card & get free shipping than to drive the 100 mile round trip & risk some egg-head door dinging the vehicle or hitting a suicidal deer.
It's good to know that I'm not the only one that does stuff like that! :) And to top it off, the Ranger occasionally talks back with whatever that odd electric/mechanical noise is under the hood.
I did. I just slid underneath on my creeper with the vehicle sitting on the garage floor. I just used regular combination wrenches to remove the factory stuff and to install the MBS parts. I had no issues at all.
Nothing exciting......I wiped the dust off of the Ranger with the California Duster while staring lovingly at my 2000 F250 that is sitting next to it........debating whether or not to sell the Super Duty with the 7.3L.
My place is custom built. The garage is a three stall with 850 sq. ft. & is attached to the house. A few years ago I replaced the garage doors with the highest insulation rating I could buy. One and a half walls are an outside wall and one is all garage doors. The outside walls have 6" studs...
I have a heater like yours (except I put the legs on mine so I can move it out of the way in the warm months). I added the OEM internal fan and after using it for a short time after installing it, I decided to NEVER plug it in again. For some reason the air flow seems to cause the propane to not...
Yup, that's exactly what happened! But it all turned out good in the end. I didn't have to cut any factory wiring and the new piece I installed is truly plug & play.
Any chance that you soldered the wires to the pins?
I made a new harness for my Jeep a few days ago and figured I'd solder everything. Darn solder crawled into places it should have & I could not get the pins to go all the way in to the connector. I tried filing the solder off, the pins went in...
15 years or so ago, a large oak branch broke off on my neighbors tree and fell onto my property. When it fell it landed on some sort of "trash" tree and bent it over & pinned it to the ground. Since it was just a junk tree, I figured I'd just cut it down. Because it was bent over 180° it was...
