  7. Aftermarket armor

I took advantage of 2 shrockworks group buys. I can't attest to the skid plate durability yet, but the thickness and craftsmanship is excellent. I did bounce off a rock with the sliders and you can't even tell I hit them. Mike

The factory holds are covered with plastic clips on trucks that don't come with factory steps
  10. Shrockwork sliders

SafetyDan and I transferred my original steps to his truck, and if I remember correctly the factory plugs are just ribbed style plastic clips. I have a box of giant assorted pop clips and found 12 that fit in mine and used thoughs. I had been offroading and what not before without plugging...
  11. Shrockworks skids

They don't use the same frame rail holes, but I highly recommend drilling the horizontal cross member into the frame. With that in mind, I think I would still do the sliders first, since the skids will limit your access to the inside the frame rail for the front slider mounting plates and...
  12. Shrockworks skids

Yeah, definitely. Laying low as much as possible. Glad you guys are well. I oped for the full steel skids, weight says 130lbs combined. Like having a small person in the car at all times. At least the weight is low lol
  13. Shrockworks skids

They're Shrockworks skids! Took about 9 weeks but they're super nice. I already have their sliders and am really happy with those so stuck with them for skids
  14. Shrockworks skids

oops, i misread your post, my bad. From the instructions, they don't share holes. i would say install sliders first, then the skids, but if I run into anything that makes me say to reverse that i'll let you know monday. Mike
  16. Shrockworks skids

I am coating mine with an all in one clear first, to see how many cans I need. In the future, if need be, i'm going to use Steel-it. Corrosion isn't as huge a concern here in CA, we don't salt, but if you drive somewhere that might salt would be best to coat them with something. or spray off...
