Any update on this? Burger makes some amazing products that I use on my other cars.
I went ahead and tuned my own Ranger with HPTuners, but I have a Burger Motorsports methanol injection kit I'd like to add too.
Burger Motorsports makes a piggy back module for the 2.3. They advertise it as a Mustang product but I bet you can ask them if it works for the Ranger too. They probably just need to verify the MAP connector types.
I use their piggy back on my Kia Stinger GT and it works great.

The engine is a load based engine. Without a tune you will still only hit the targeted torque output. Many call this “learn down”. It’s what you get from torque based ECUs.
Im wondering if maybe the altered the Injector Temp tables and made them all 1.0 or zero like people commonly do on some GM engines. Not sure if Ford Ecoboost behaves the same with those changes like the GM does.
No decent tune should be making your truck smell like fuel in your garage. There should be no relative changes to idle being made. So I find it odd that you would experience foul odors just idling there.
