  1. Only Need a Ball in my Bumper for Towing?

While I understand that paying for the Ford OEM hitch receiver, even at discounted Fairway ford prices is quite high, ($289 at this moment) it gives you the maximum towing rating for the Truck in case you ever have to pull something heavier. If you are absolutely sure you will never pull...
  2. Only Need a Ball in my Bumper for Towing?

Just saw you mention your Bike, and it's weight. Is that the gross weight of the bike, or bike with a trailer, and any mounted accessories? Also, consider the height difference of the trailer's tongue, relative to the height where your bumper ball would be located.
  3. Only Need a Ball in my Bumper for Towing?

So, uh... not sure if you're new to towing? If so, couple of things.... Bumper rated tow is lower than max rating (bumper is 3500lb, Ranger max is 7500lb when using a frame mounted hitch receiver), so you're only going to safely tow something on the lighter side like a lawn trailer, or...
  4. Well, my Tremor is done.

Sorry to hear man. So glad you're safe and healthy though; trucks can be replaced, people can't. The nice claim payout amount doesn't hurt either.
  5. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Mountains2Metal lower grille insert. Fastest mod I think I’ve done yet. Easily under five minutes. Fit and finish was top notch. (Having a plastic body panel rivet tool makes the job an absolute cinch)
  6. First improved thing about the 2022?

I don't see them seeing much vibration or stress, so a few ft lbs is probably more than adequate. I reinstalled them with just a tiny bit more force than when I removed, but being mindful not to crush the liner material. If I had to guess, the Ford tech that may end up doing it in the future...
  7. First improved thing about the 2022?

No, but they weren’t on there tight by any means. Couple of ft lbs max. I think maybe they’re trying to avoid crushing the liner material.
  8. First improved thing about the 2022?

    Yup. 10mm bolt head.
  9. First improved thing about the 2022?

Doing the first oil change today. Looked inside the wheel well and saw this: Looks like they got smart and replaced the plastic liner rivets with actual bolts?
  10. Manual vs Automatic Transmission

Manual any day of the week. I know my fuel economy would be worse, as I'd be into the turbo constantly, but to me, that would be a better experience I'd be willing to pay for...
  11. How To Upgrade Factory Puddle Lights

Y'all need to stop costing me money. ? Order placed. Thanks, OP!! ?
  12. Report your MPG

2022 Screw Lariat Tremor. AWE cat back exhaust, tonneau cover. (No lift, no level, factory tires) Averaging just over 20 calculated by hand (Fuelly) after I stopped romping on it all the time. (Computer reports about 21.2 average)
  13. If you’re gonna be dumb…

Might I suggest keeping one of these in the bed from now on?? ? Strappy strap.
  14. Stage 3 Motorsports' Bucket o' Mud Off-Road Look Application System

Wait, you mean placing an order for three of these won't get filled? https://www.stage3motorsports.com/s3m-mudbucket-stage-3-motorsports-bucket-o-mud.html
  15. Stage 3 Motorsports' Bucket o' Mud Off-Road Look Application System

    ...so you're saying it's possible though? ?
  16. If you’re gonna be dumb…

Sure, maybe. Whatever it is, my point is that you have to close the tailgate with authority on my setup, otherwise the concern that it will become unlatched while driving and lose items from the bed becomes a very real possibility.
  17. If you’re gonna be dumb…

No, I'm actually dead serious. Between the cover gasket sealing around the front and sides of the bed so well, and the gasket that the top of the tailgate encounters when I close the tailgate, you can't baby it when you close it, or it won't fully latch. I only discovered it when my wife went...
  18. Stage 3 Motorsports' Bucket o' Mud Off-Road Look Application System

Not edible?? But it looks so tasty....
  19. If you’re gonna be dumb…

Your post just has me a little more anxious, as I worried the same thing might happen with my setup; the Diamondback SE cover creates such an airtight seal, that when I close the tailgate, if I don't give a good shove/slam to ensure the latch connects, the air cushion created by the seal can...
  20. If you’re gonna be dumb…

Sorry to hear man. That sucks for sure. Makes me kind of wish we had a tailgate open indicator light on the dash now, thinking about it.
