This sounds fun. FYI I have the black appearance Lariat grille available which is the same as the Tremor grille without nostrils. Very light wear, all tabs intact if you are interested. I had swapped mine for the Ford Performance grille before I ending up trading it in. It’s sitting in the box...
This was normal behavior for me too but it seemed to get better after transmission learning period. Maybe I just drove it differently, but I must say my Silverado shifts much smoother. I usually don’t know it’s shifting except for the sound.
Nice choice! The Ranger was my first truck, but I just needed something larger to fit my family better. I test drove some of the 2.7L F150 STX options, but I ended up in a new 22 Silverado LT 5.3L V8 in Glacier Blue.
Hey you already brought religion into it offering karma points!
What’s a little slice of politics to go with the karma?
I think you’ll find the taillight options very limited unfortunately. It took years for Anzo to put theirs out and it may be the only option out there.
A month ago, all of the newer local Silverado Custom trim with the HO engine were actually missing the HO piece due to chip shortages. I kept seeing it as a credit on the sticker. I didn’t bother test driving one and jumped to the 5.3 V8.
I disagree here. When I was shopping full size trucks recently they had 2 F150 Tremors at my local dealer which were very nice, one was low 60s and one was high 60s. It’s nowhere near the Raptor pricing there.
Premium ran much better in my Ranger than regular - I switched to premium after about 6k miles.
This helped me to justify the worse mpg when I traded the Ranger in on a new 5.3L V8 Silverado. 3 mpg less but I use Regular again now.
I did this with a friend for my 5100s and we compressed the springs ourselves. I would not do it again though.
I swore I would just buy assembled coil overs if there was a next time.
