Yeah that’s the big concern. If the transmission suffers damage later on will they replace it because fluid was low for x amount of miles. I highly doubt it. Why design a transmission that is very hard to check level and claim fluid only needs to be replaced at 150k miles just to not have...
It blows my mind how Ford can send a truck out with low transmission fluid levels straight from the factory. Completely unacceptable. That’s one of the few things that has to be correct. Can’t be good for the transmission but maybe they don’t care. More money in service fees for them.
Nice I’ll check it out. Is that for computers or the consoles? My kid has a small laptop we bought him and the PS5. I purchased a chess training program for him a year and an half ago and he took a liking to it and got really good. He has even played in a couple tournaments around our area...
? I was actually thinking I may buy my kid a racing game for the PS5 that I convinced him to buy with his Christmas money. Might as well teach them when they’re young. I picture him just riding the guard rail the whole course.
Oh I know, 8 more years and he’ll be driving. He’s a mirror image of me in every way and that scares the hell out of me. I’m mean literally just yesterday he shattered the glass bulb in the ceiling fan from jumping on his bed then pretended like nothing happened. I’m supposed to let this kid drive?
So honestly it’s hard for me to believe what they’re charging for these Frontiers. I mean definitely not bad but lacks a lot of the things the ranger has. Steering wheel is very hard to turn and I’ve never said that about any vehicle. Some weird vibrations in the pedal when accelerating quickly...
That was my plan, keep this truck for 8 years then give it to my oldest son. At this rate I’ll be lucky if I make it to next week lol. I am worried though that if the transmission issues get sorted out, this truck is fast and I know how dumb kids are. I picture him being a total idiot in Sport...
Haha if you mixed both characters together you’d have my transmission. Really weird. Shifting got slightly better the last day or so but still only skips second gear and hits all the rest unless you really brake hard. Haven’t heard the turbo spool up in about two weeks. They were so backed up he...
Here’s the rental. I will say transmission is 1000 times smoother in the Frontier but the Ranger handles better and has way more power. Frontier mechanically feels older and slower but maybe that’s what we need lol. Btw this was a 23 model Enterprise car rental had and as usual tires are 10...
Well truck won’t be looked at for three days or so. Had to do some convincing to get me a rental car. Enterprise gave me a Frontier X. I asked the guy before leaving the dealership if they’ve been having a lot of transmission issues since they’re so backed up. He said with the 10 speeds yes and...
Yeah mine with 6000 feels like I’ll be needing a new one soon. Hoping it just fully blows up so I don’t have to do the runaround with the dealer. Easier to show them something is wrong with the transmission when it’s in pieces in the bed of the truck ?
Good luck. Let us know how it goes. I’m hoping they can figure out what’s going on with my truck after I drop it off tomorrow. I can’t tell if it’s multiple issues or just one thing. Hate having to burn vacation days at the dealership.
I’ll trade you ?. You find the strategically placed pubic hair yet? If if makes you feel better mine will be back at dealer and I know they’ll place another one somewhere in my truck. ?
In all seriousness, congrats! I will have to admit I’m a little jealous. How’s the ride compared to you...
I’ll post an update as soon as I find anything out. Today noticed what I would call a lack of power along with the absent gear skipping. Couldn’t hear the turbo spooling at all like I normally can on faster acceleration. On hills the truck was really hesitant to downshift so I had to do it...
So I called a well recommended local transmission shop and turns out they will do transmission fluid level checks for free. I’m sure not all do but may be worth having a transmission shop check it properly even if they charge a bit. That’ll give you a bit more peace of mind if the dealer gives...
Well just moved up my appointment to this this Thursday. Noticed today my transmission would not skip a gear either accelerating or decelerating regardless of throttle or brake input. It wasn’t in tow mode or sport. Really weird. Would hang for a bit longer on hills and just behaved really...
