I get your frustration! I have zero knowledge of the diesel engine used outside of the US in the Ranger. I know the gen 2 7.3L PowerStroke and the 6.0L PowerStroke diesels in the Superduty will shut off when oil volume is too low to run the injectors and the high pressure pump. That is a...
Hope it works out. The video shows a complete remove and replace of all the parts and the clips clearly. Doesn't look bad for someone with decent mechanic skills.
Before getting my Ranger last August I had been driving Ford diesels since 2002. Had a '94 F250 IDI Turbo from '02-'16 then traded it in for my 2004 F250 with the 6.0. Never had bad fuel and I always added fuel conditioner. Mostly Power Service/Diesel Kleen. Miss those trucks but love my Ranger.
You're doing fine. We all have a learning curve with new things. That can be half the fun like getting a new toy. Have fun getting to know your truck better.
😂 Just retired from 35 years of teaching in June. Looking forward to it. I am going to look into working a couple days a week at our local gun store/range. Little mad money and something to do that's fun.
Towed the travel trailer with my Ranger for the first time last week. A lot of grade to climb from our town to up the river. Good hill heading out of town and one mountain pass. The Ranger handled it like a champ! The trailer GVWR is 4100 and although I knew it was behind me the tail did not wag...
I have always been a Ford guy just like my dad and grandpa. I have had five F250s since 1985 from '71 to '04. The last two were diesels to pull our travel trailer. Since our old '88 TT is only 18' and GVWR of 4100 lbs. my '04 F250 6.0 diesel crew cab 8' bed was overkill although I had the truck...
76 since it is Top Tier and close to my house
Only a few cents more than Walmart and I don't have to go to Walmart!!? They have 91 as well for towing and the small engines.
You would have to check with the online places but I think it is just the cushion/seat foam that is swapped out. I haven't looked at it in detail myself but that's what I remember seeing scrolling by.
My buddy and I hit one of our favorite MTB trails on Tuesday the 8th. It was a challenge I wasn't sure about while still recovering from Guillain-Barre syndrome that I came down with in January. I did better than I expected on the climb and the downhill is always a hoot! In the second photo my...
