Maybe so. When I looked closely at the part, I could make out some of the Ford markings. They definitely wiped the part with something to attempt to remove the Ford letting.

I doubt it is hot. I would be more worried about QA testing and if the part fully met specs. It is somewhat unusual that somebody went to the level of attempting to remove the Ford labeling from the part.

I agree that it looks like it is off the same manufacturing line. They definitely tried to remove the labeling on the part. I wonder why they would do that and then sell it for less than 1/3 the price from a Ford OEM parts house.

Let us know how this turns out. I say there is no way that Ford will guarantee the body shops work when it comes to crash worthiness. You may be in for a fight. One other thing to look at will be diminished value due to this accident.
