I know nothing about the 3.6L. I do work with a guy who has a 4 door Wrangler. I'll ask him about it. I have heard that Wranglers have real good resale value, so if you want to sell it in a few years, you may not be that bad off.

Well..it appears that there are a LOT of people on this forum that feel the same way about the Ranger. Just look at the number of people who claim they are buying extended warranties. Some have paid over $2k for them. The only time you buy the extended warranty is when you do not trust reliability.

I own a send gen Tacoma. It has the rear drum brakes and to be honest, I never even think about them. The brakes always work and the truck stops fine. Are you recommending that I swap the rear drums for disk brakes? If so, what improvement do you think I will see?
