I think the main factor is - how much play the cables have, so you can physically pull the handle out with the screws removed to get your hands on the cables to disconnect them as you can note there is a cable routing clamp just below the handle - i would imagine that the cable is fairly taught...
Ford tends to show (depict) parts in a fully opened view; I have a crew cab so cannot verify but it appears the door panel does not need to be removed. The manual only states remove cover then remove bezel - then handle - It's all screws and clips and then the cables
Yes #3 is a clip - and #1 is...
Fairly easy
Use (Trim Tool) to remove cover - to get here then remove the bezel (Shown)
Then you have access to the handle
I think for this - it would be much cheaper to find one via Ebay if you can find a good one
The only module you touched = BCM?
Rules of Forscan
Make backups and document what you are changing
Know the outcome of that change
Research First - Do not blindly change anything
Now you are in a situation where - you cannot verify with 100% certainty that you are back to factory (As-Built)...
If this was version 3.4, I would agree 100% on a software induced issue but i think it's the camera or a dirty connection.
4 connectors to check for integrity - there are some others, but these are the external ones
1. The camera connector itself
2. The Tailgate Connector C411 - where it...
Then you are on the original factory released version of 3.3 (early builds) for your issue I think it's either the camera or a bad connection (Inline connection) feeding the camera. The underbody connectors have some history of (corroded connections) due to exposers to elements
If you are handy...
Turned off start / stop - more specific to what you actually changed please so i can pinpoint (T-Shoot) what happened - and the tire size change would do it as well as all this ties into Vehicle Learned Data - that is transmitted on the Can-Bus, this the modules talking to each other.
What specific changes did you make? - hopefully you made back-ups or wrote down everything,
as far as the - key on but do not start message - if the PB will not let you get it to accy then you have no choice but to start it to get back into forscan
Another Question - Is there a Tune Installed...
I did some digging and I think I see the issue
It's the calibration level (Software Change) that's triggering the code
This needs to be completed - (PCM - Relearn Vehicle Data) this is how the tab is labeled.
What this means:
The relearn will allow all the associated modules with the Cruise...
Then the only thing left is the new module is programmed at a newer calibration level - the BCM and the rest of the associated modules are looking for the old module and do not see the new module as valid (yet) you need to run a Module Relearn or Vehicle Relearn cannot remember exact wording at...
Is it the IPMA that is providing the code?
Have you performed the calibration procedure for both the CCM and IPMA?
I think the issue is - you need to run both, if i recall the CCM is just a simple garage bay calibration but however the IPMA requires you to start the calibration and drive it...
Refresh of issues
1. Driver's side only - getting wet - Correct?
2. Carpet gets wet after a drive- Correct? - Are you running AC for this to occur?
3. You have drilled a hole - In the same location as the above pic?
4. You were able to get a wire into the drain and no condensate drained?
I...
So, to confirm - All of the As-Built files match - Correct
And you are seeing the message - Adaptive Cruise Not Available - on your trucks message display - Correct
If you scan for codes or perform a module self-test (CCM) - Do you see any codes?
And both CCM Modules - produce the mesage -...
Go to this website and enter your VIN# - you can download your (As-Built) data from here
Since there is only 5-Lines of Module Addresses in the CCM, print the downloaded page as a PDF and save the file (for reference)
Find Module Address - (764) this is the Cruise Control Module unless its...
Some notes on this - IDK if it will help.
1. Are you trying to connect with truck running or (Key On Engine Off) - Try KOEO
2. When Forscan pops up with a message about (Switching MS and HS Can) what are you clicking?
3. Have you tried another scan tool?
4. Have you tried pulling the...
You should try one of the lower multifunction switch packs - either one will do as they are wired on the same circuit - depending on your options. These are the switches with the Park Aid - ASS etc
Pin 5 = Illumination
Pin 3 = Ground
Then the switch should work, let me clarify:
The background lighting will work - for the most part with any switch, but since the illumination circuit is PWM they tend not to follow the dimming control of the dash lights. They remain full bright or flicker and or cause flickering on other lights...
