All those periodic comments about buy a full size if you want to tow are wrong. I have a C2500, and a Ranger. I bought the Ranger specifically for towing. It does a great job towing. Almost all of my Ranger miles are towing. Iāve pulled 2500 lbs many times without trailer brakes. Just pay...
Had a back in with the trailer of well past 90 degrees. Thought I could see the tongue well enough, but the storage box got the taillight lens. Caulked it for now since thatās what I had camping, and there is rain. Iāll work on replacement when Iām home from the trip.
We travel a lot, and use it all the time. We use our phones too, but they are not unlimited. Can do things on computer and tablets easier with it, and it sometimes has signal when phones donāt. Saves phone data for when truck is off. It was cheaper to have our phones and truck than 2 unlimited...
My rears were recalled and got the tilters. My fronts donāt tilt, but donāt move by themselves. They stay all the way down. The rears, along with the seat bottoms are stored. The backs of the rear seats are wrapped with a cheap black outdoor tablecloth to protect them from the stuff back there...
I hate the bed height on all new trucks. I much prefer my ā98 C2500 with an 8ā bed. Iām 5ā8ā and loading newer trucks is impractical to me. I also hate no midsize truck offers an 8ā bed. I bought the Ranger because it was the cheapest vehicle to do what I needed. Itās been a good truck so far...
I donāt want or need a 4x4, but I have the elocker. Itās handy in all kinds of situations in low traction. Itās enough for my needs. I donāt need 4wd, but do need the locker, and in farm country, we all drive off road.
We just have a set of double 12ās and some pennies. No fancy accessories. Sometimes we start with a full set at 12. Other times 9 or 6 depending on how long we want to play. I like Monopoly, but train is so non thinking, that you can chat while playing. There is some, but not much strategy.
When towing, which is most of the time, I use premium. The rest of the time regular, but almost always top tier fuel.
I do agree the computer does a great job on the downhills. so I end up not touching the shifter. I really wondered about that at first.
