Hi Chris,
Sorry for your loss - Can I have your right rear tail lamp assembly? (I'm hoping the cow didn't bounce over the roof and smash the back too!!).
Steve
My weight may be a bit misleading. With 42 years in the trucking industry, loading a trailer correctly is sort of my thing. I do have my trailer loaded with all sorts of items but have them placed so the tongue weight is 10% of the total. The 15% would be the max on any trailer but most will run...
The 55 sq ft frontal area is not realistic with my trailer, or most trailers. That said, the Ranger can still pull it. Does it slow me down in a head wind - for sure it does. Days when it is really windy, I stick to secondary highways and that helps with the lower speeds. I do need to get to the...
I run my Bridgestone Duelers up at 40 PSI cold for towing. Road handling has improved a lot.
Trailer is 21 ft long, wet at 6500 lbs and WDH is Husky with friction sway and 600-800 lb bars.
My next change is moving away from OEM shocks.
I've pulled my trailer about 6000 miles this year and no...
I have a 2020 Ranger XLT Sport and pull a 21 ft TT with tandem axles and loaded weight of 6000 lbs.
My first trip out I was all over the road due to a bad dealer set up. Re-set it myself per the Husky WDH instructions and it made a big difference. Get the instructions and follow them to do your...
Thinking more for when you get snow for a few mile stretch and drive out of it back on dry roads. Then go to use the cruise and it won't work.
No worries about when I'm on slippery roads - it stays off.
Driving in Ontario in the snow is causing an issue with my front radar below the main grille. It gets covered in snow and the radar shuts down so no adaptive cruise and no forward collision warning. Has anyone ever had this happen to them? Maybe someone has a work around??
FORD does not. My...
I use the clamp on mirrors shown previously and had the same issue with trucks passing on a two lane and the mirror head folding into the window. Almost lost my mirror too. Solved the problem my making a small clip that hooks the bottom edge of the stock mirror and use a small bungie cord from...
Just passed 40,000 kms and no issues. I love everything about this truck EXCEPT the child size fuel tank. Pulling my TT (5800 lbs) and having to stop for gas every 2.5 hours sucks.
On the other hand, going from Hamilton, ON to Sault Ste. Marie and return for $226 CAD is very good (without the...
Just returned from a 6000 km (3750 Mi) trip to Nova Scotia pulling a 21 ft travel trailer. Have tow package, Husky WDH and friction sway bar. Weight fully loaded is 6000 lbs. Power in the hills is great but man that small fuel tank is a pain in the ass. Ford needs to offer a larger tank for...
I have a 2020 Ranger and am coming up to 23,000 kms (13,800 miles for my friends south of the border) and zero issues. I pull a travel trailer which runs about 5500 lbs. with all my gear in it and you hardly know the trailer is behind you. As a previous F150 owner, I can say this truck is as...
My travel trailer is 21 ft, 25 BTT and 5500 lbs loaded. Using a Husky WDH. Pulls best at 60-65 on major Hwys but sweet spot is at 55 on secondary Hwys. Way more to look at as well.
My truck is parked in our underground garage which runs about 3-8 degrees C or 35-40 degrees F. When parked I back into my spot. As I put it in drive, it will more ok but as I let off the gas coming out the door then step back on the gas it feels like the tranny has stopped working. If I come...
Anyone in the Ontario GTHA looking for a tonneau cover? It fits the super-crew short box (60"). It is a roll up soft cover in new condition. Just 4 months old. I have a box topper now so no longer need the tonneau cover. Brand is Tonno Pro. Looking for $275. Pic attached.
I have an XLT with the factory tow package. I pull a 21 ft Starcraft TT with a Husky WDH and friction sway. There is some sway when large trucks pass on a windy day but if you don`t react to the wind pressure, it will continue straight down the road. As a 40 year transport driver, I am used to...
I've been talking with Hawk out of Brantford. They make their own caps and I'm told they are good. Run about the same as Action @ $2450 + tax. They have one coming in for a Ranger and are going to send measurements and pics when they install it.
Could you measure the height at the back of the cap in the centre of the bumper? Our Rangers sit high at the back and that may make the cap to high for me.
