I called Ford Canada Corporate office today. Complaint has been filed and was told to continue working with the dealer and keep Ford apprized of the progress. Fingers crossed that this doesn't turn into a large repair bill that Ford won't cover.

I may have to do something like this too. Truck is too hot to drive in hot weather. I'll be watching to see if there is a work around until we can get the back ordered parts.

UPDATE: Went to Ford today, had to pay $155 for a diagnostic check up and was told the right side actuator is not working (Last repair was the left one). As I am now out of warranty, the part I need (which is on back order, delivery unknown) will cost me another $160 plus installation. Will this...

If anyone in Ontario has had experience with a repair done under warranty and the same issue after warranty, any advice is appreciated. So far, Ford dealer is on the fence if they will cover the cost. Needless to say I am not a happy Ford customer right now.

I'm going to see what the dealer says first. Going to drop the truck off next Tuesday. If it goes sideways I will open the formal complaint. This dealer has been very good in the past so fingers crossed. BTW - Installed a set of BFG K02's yesterday. Now it looks like a real truck!

I had a gate on the heater box replaced while on vacation in SC. One month later it is broken again. Add to that my bumper to bumper warranty is now over by 3000 kms. I’m sure this is going to be a fight with Ford. Any advice?

Additional to my last post, I'm still towing with now over 20,000 kms pulling this trailer. My two issues were the spring bars (400-600 lb) were under rated for the the tongue weight and it was causing the back end of the truck to bounce a bit over bumps. Other issue was due to the lighter bars...

I have a Tekonsha unit and it works great. They are not as expensive as the Ford unit. Over 10,000 kms towing and no issues at all. Either soft braking or hard braking I don't feel any trailer push.
