We still have a 2012 Subi Impresa Sport and it is still running like new today. It's one of the reasons I went to Subi again. The Wilderness model gives me the 4 wheel clearance I still need but small enough for my wife to drive it. Seats are very comfortable in the 2024 model.
Sorry Tony, not a turbo. I did try the WRX 6 speed manual first but figured I would loose my licence in the 1st week or maybe the 1st day! Ha ha.
I can still off road with this if needed. The worst I do is across a farm field to get to the maple bush to make maple syrup. Moving to a 2024...
Hi everyone,
Well, today is a sad day. My Ranger was traded and a Subaru is my next toy.
Thanks to all who have given my advise and good conversation over the last 4 years.
Take care everyone and drive safe!
Steve
Happy to report 1) Amazon saves the day and had me the clamps in 3 days. I am in the middle of nowhere remember and 2) The issue was the EGR sensor and the truck is running perfect. Thank you to all the help given. Doing it myself cost under $200 CAD, that's like $50 for you guys in the USA...
Check your shocks. Mine felt tight if I got under the truck and shook them. Got my son in law to stand on the bumper when I was under the truck and they were moving on the bolts. Torqued them down and the rattle went away.
I'm up at my daughters cottage in northern Ontario so only reader I have is a code reader. Dealers in the area are booked for 3 weeks out so I'm looking to see if I can fix it. My daughter is coming up next weekend and can bring me the parts needed.
I did find a code when I scanned it. It was P2457. I cleared the code to see if it would come back but it has not. I have done the accelorator reset as suggested but no change.
I have a 2020 XLT Super Crew (112,000 kms) and my accelorator has a fault when pressing it down. Just as it starts to depress, the engine stutters. If you hold it at that very light position it will continue to stutter. If you apply more pressure, it goes away and operates normal through the...
I've got a 2020 XLT Supercrew and have 105,000 kms with 30,000 pulling a 6500 lb travel trailer. Only issue was the heater box which warrenty paid for. Other than that, plugs at 100 kms and will need back brake pads in the spring. I love this truck and yes there are a few are duds out there but...
I have over 30,000 kms pulling my 21FB TT. No issues other than the small gas tank. Get proper tires on both units, a WDH and brake controller. Set up properly, it is a great puller.
Mine started at 58,000 kms. 2020 XLT Sport. Dual heat. Had to get Ford Corp. involved as the full warp was not diagnosed until my bumper to bumper warranty was over due to mileage. Ford Corp and the dealer I bought the truck from paid the $2500 bill. Needless to say I was a happy Ford customer...
I'm in Canada but had the same issue after warrany was up. Full dash out repair to replace the heater box. Contacted Ford Corporate and they paid for the repair. I know every case is different but it is absolutly worth the call.
You forgot to mention that you are also now a professional gas pumper having to stop every 2 - 3 hours for gas pulling a TT. That is the only "not fun" part of owning this truck. My worst was Hamilton, ON to Myrtle Beach, SC and I had to stop 7 times to gas up. It's too bad they went with such a...
