Reopening this thread, my driver's window recently started doing the "bounce back" thing. The auto up and auto down are working fine, but on auto up, once the window fully closes it immediately kicks back to half open. I've tried the window reset and there is nothing obstructing the window. I...
I just replaced mine today. Tbh it was a little tougher than I thought, (those little clamps suck!). I ended up resorting to the dremel after unsuccessfully trying to twist them off with Channel Locks and Vise Grips.
Honestly, even though the issue appears to be resolved with the new unit, I...
I finally fixed my ugly moldings by covering them with blackout tape. The stuff I bought (Trimbrite brand 1.25") was wider than necessary so I had to carefully trim with a hobby knife, easy job though and looks great. If I had to do over I would buy 3/4" wide to eliminate trimming.
Very interesting. EGR is definitely listed as "covered". But with the enlightened on this forum changing their own (and the rest clueless), Ford is not likely to step up. Btw that $15 part is now $100, so that's not nothing.
WHAT IS COVERED?
For your vehicle if these parts contain an...
I have this problem now on my 2020 Ranger, and have only made it to page 7 of this 55 page thread, so my apologies if this question has been answered.
I just ordered the EGR valve w/hoses, but it just occurred to me: isn't the EGR system part of the emissions system? It was my understanding...
When I saw the headline, I thought it was yet another valued member defecting for the siren song of yet another manufacturer, but you kept the faith and I am happy to be wrong. Beautiful truck!
Has anyone tried to remove their door trim moldings? Mine have faded to the point where I need to refinish or replace them. I found a couple of YouTube videos demonstrating removal of the trim (on a non-U.S. Ranger) , which first required removal of an Allen or Torx set screw at the front of the...
It's likely the HVAC blend door on the driver's side. Mine has been on and off clicking for the last couple years. Funny thing, it hasn't gotten any worse (knock wood) so I have just lived with it. One thing I started doing is to turn the system off (bottom button on the center stack) when the...
To answer your question, yes below the bumper. I have a single Wallyworld LED light mounted below my trailer hitch, and wired into the reverse lights. Plenty bright for after hours trailer hookup, without blinding everyone at the boat ramp.
Ford recommends checking engine accessory drive belts at 100k miles, and changing coolant at 200k. These mileages seem unrealistic to me, what say you?
I had the same problem and shorted out my boat trailer running/ parking lights. It turned out to be fuse #71, located in the engine bay fusebox. You will need to unlatch/ detach the top half of the fusebox to access the bottom half of the box where the fuse is located. 30 amp pink fuse, local...
So odd finding this post now after changing out the #71 fuse yesterday (trailer running lights). I ran into the same issue locating the two release catches for the lower fusebox. Other surprise: That tiny fuse is relatively expensive, and my local auto parts store had only one in stock. I made...
I had a scary moment many years ago when I tapped the brakes to disengage cruise and slow for a toll booth, and the car responded by flooring the accelerator! Thankfully the car's engine (325e) was no match for its brakes, and I was able to cancel cruise manually, but definitely a sphincter...
Weird, mines been clicking on and off for over a year, but other than the minor annoyance of the clicking itself, everything is still working fine (knock wood). Probably on borrowed time though.
