Yeah, Dave...they ain't cheap. This is the culmination of a 10 year plan for the Princess and I. We had been working towards getting an Airstream thinking that was the way to go as we got older. But realized we still like going off-grid and campgrounds aren't our thing yet. We looked at a few...
My Dad lived just off Ft. Myers for a while. He liked this old hotel in Everglades City. We love Alligator Alley! Seen a few “Darwin Moments” on that road.
But, Tracy…The Everglades are a wonderful, beautiful place. The source of many a glorious moment. Whatever could lurk in such a place that would be the source of nightmares?
And remember, the OP was dumping bodies. What’s he got to be afraid of?
Fuel range hasn't bothered me yet with the Ranger. Between my old, very efficient bladder, the Princess, or one of the dogs...someone needs to go for a walk every couple of hours! Plus, the MPG gain over my old Frontier gives this truck more range. That being said, I never leave the pavement...
Anyone else using thread locker on the lug nuts? I use a torque wrench for the wheels but have never applied any loctite to them. I use it everywhere else!
"As for the fears of being under water and not breaking your window....valid I guess, but the other methods of nearly dying are way more common and you probably want to stay inside the vehicle."
Of course. But I've been given three of the things over the years and keep one in each vehicle...
I'd bust out the back window so that I had an excuse to put in a slider!!
But this thread now has me wondering if the "break glass in case of emergency" tool that I keep in the center console would break it for me. Submerged in a rushing river is not the time to find out it won't work!
For sure! And if Ford was smart enough to capitalize on that it was a good move. But they aren’t the first and won’t be the last. Hey, they got me! I didn’t even know what a Tremor was before researching this truck.
I also didn’t know that things like fake Raptor grills existed. I had never...
I used to think those high trucks with aggressive stance were real cool. Could only imagine the amazing places they were taking those tremendous, expensive trucks! And couldn't believe all those Raptors I saw out on the road. Low and behold, most of that is just cosmetic and aftermarket parts...
Trail damage is cool! That's a badge of honor! It's the parking lot crap that drives me nuts or cutting the corner too tight in a Downtown garage! I'll take all manner of rock, tree, road damage while on the trail.
I'm notorious for running out of gas and losing my truck keys. It never happens in a convenient place. I keep a spare key hidden now, and always a gas can when I hit the road.
I was turkey hunting in a pretty remote place a few years ago and lost my keys in the woods. Was able to find a spot...
Actually, the whole front window pops out pretty easy and thats how I would do it. But I don't think I even did that more than 2 or 3 times (in 8 years) with my last one. I just aim the water hose that way every now and then. Rear visibility is greatly impacted due to the small rear window of...
The human eye perceives color based on a variety of conditions. And each persons brain will interpret what the eye perceives differently as well. Light sources, environmental conditions, and individual experiences all play a factor in which color our brain tells us we are seeing. Back in the day...
Leer 100XR - Cactus Gray, Headliner, Removable front slider, LED Dome light. $2300 + $80 installation. This is my second Leer and third topper overall. No complaints yet. In the past, I have replaced the dampers more than once, rear window and side window locks broke or stopped working. Dome...
Got that piece out of the way, and now it seems like the bolts for the bottom bracket aren't long enough. Also not liking how they fit in general. Starting to think it's not quite right for the Tremor suspension? Springs a little thicker? Don't know. Might be rethinking this approach.
