For me the Ford method was always a fail, period. The cyan labs route has always worked for me. Try a different USB stick with more memory. Might be the issue
Been using power stop on all my families cars and trucks for decades. Mid to high priced are going to be worth the extra money. If heat is an issue the cross drilled and grooved ones are worth the extra money to help dissipating heat and warpage

Pretty sure when Ford does a trans fluid change the procedure says to replace the plastic pan cover itself and the gasket when doing this procedure. At the cost of a gasket is it worth skipping? Do you have any Ford points left still? Use them to get the fluid and a gasket!
