Looks like @CVF-Jason warning was warranted on not all intercoolers are made equal despite appearing to be the same. Check out the most recent comments on the ESP intercooler flash sale thread here:
Apparently there is a potential for a dimensions issue with the cold side locking rings that...
Mishimoto goes over intercooler coatings in their guide. Makes no difference in efficiency if I interpreted their findings correctly.

If I lived in the desert I too would invest in an intercooler as a good investment for air temp control. Mishimoto is located in the NE part of the country so their testing is reflective of their climate.
In the Mishimoto intercooler development blog with a non-tuned truck, the intercooler yielded like 3 hp and then power curved barely changed. Same with intercooler pipes too (see AFE dyno). However Mishimoto found the secret combo was to have BOTH the pipes and the intercooler together which...
Try the tow mode when driving around and the lugging will stop.
And I agree more than 1 o clock and I can hear the noises of plastics in the dash start to make noises since at full blast these heaters work so good it’s like a heat gun on low setting ?
Thermostat has worked well. I qualify that statement before everyone decides to come here saying that I’m endorsing it incorrectly and how OEM temp is perfect, etc to clarify that the part itself it functioning as intended. Here is the data I’ve observed scanning with the Ford Performance tune...
@Loweredon33s - Is the outlet on your inlet elbow 3in or 4in? And any issues with EVAP readiness monitors being good to go since I don’t believe your part uses a Venturi like the factory inlet does? Know from experience that those flow rate monitors on the EVAP high pressure lines can be finicky...
Agreed, my thought is having an extinguisher is def need to understand only good for small fires or maybe to just push some flames back while extracting someone from a wreck for example.
Haha, didn’t think you were a dick at all. I do troll the FB group with my wife’s FB account since I don’t have one. Very cool how you accomplish the anti-lag with the torque commanded and keeping the diverter valve open. Keeping the transmission at the ready for the quick power transfer once...
Great point on comparing intake manufacturer dyno numbers, and while def not perfect, it’s the best available info we have acces to given the cost of dyno time and buying all the intakes to test side by side.
The observation that I was trying to convey was that the intakes that have access to...
Check out page 1 of my thread here where i compare some intake dyno numbers.

Injen makes double what Mishimoto did due to not being air volume limited by the snorkel. I’d be surprised if you didn’t see a difference inlet with...
That’s outstanding to hear regarding the cleanliness! How approx how many miles on the odometer is your truck at these?
And totally agree regarding regarding the stretching of the tube. Would def have to remove from the truck completely if any chance of stretching it.
Something interesting is...
For future readers of this spacer install, the EGR tube has 2 sections of bellows built into it. Boomba addressed by stretching these bellows vs cutting. Not saying the cutting method is wrong, just that there might be a non-cutting option. Here’s an image and factory write up from the Explorer...
