I was able to use FORscan to update the fuel capacity before dropping the truck off. With 1/2 tank of fuel my range was over 400 miles. I will run a couple tanks full to empty to get a better feel for DTE accuracy.
120 lbs is definitely not a deal breaker. Especially when it takes the stress out of finding the remote gas stations that require your first born and your soul to fill up. F-150s are too wide and long for some switch backs and back country roads.
I'm not 100% about pricing, but it seems like the tank with shipping would fall around the $2k mark. $1700 for the tank and $350 shipping? Again, not 100% on their pricing.
This is a prototype tank. LRAM are using this tank to figure out bracket placement, hose length, etc. They are looking to have tanks build and in the warehouse sometime in October-December. They are working on an install video as well. The goal is to have this install take 3-5 hours.
Long Range America tank being installed! Should be ready to drive home tomorrow! 37 gallons. This puts me around an 800 mile per tank range. The tank doesn't sit low enough I'd be worried about hitting anything on a trail. Rock rails and differentials will be the deciding factor for trail...
