Ah yes indeed, and to resolve this in our own minds we should not reference or compare what we do not like to a fat man in a speedo. That is, unless we compare what we like to the same.

Why doesn’t the Mustang cover remind you of the speedo?
No you didn't. You said the stock engine cover reminded you of a fat man in a speedo, but the Mustang cover does not? You didn't cover it and you didn't answer the question.
I've tried them all. Problem with any drop in is material getting under it. Always happens and it wears off the paint leading to rust. Problem with rubber bed mat alone is wheel wells are exposed and they are very prone to dents. My solution for the last three trucks is spray in LineX with...
Why doesn’t the Mustang cover remind you of the speedo? That cover is just a bad idea to me. You have to remove it to change the oil and when you do you have to be very careful not to lose those Ace hardware pieces that are not locked in like oem. Then you have to cut a corner off it which...
Has anyone here installed a Start-X remote on a 2022 or newer Ranger. I have a 2023 and went to the Start-X site. Sure enough, they list one for the 2023. You use their link to Amazon, but once there it says only compatible with 2019-2021. As Start-X only sells through Amazon, I'm wondering...
I bought my 5G specifically because it was smaller than my F-150. Funny thing is, on the outside it is only slightly smaller. But on the inside -- whew! No storage to speak of, and if you have passengers in the cramped rear seat you have to bring your driver's seat forward to the point of...
I would probably upgrade if they offered the 2.7 engine. I've had both the 2.7 and the 3.5 twin turbos in my F-150s....and BOTH got better mileage that the 2.3 in my Ranger!
I tow my boat on occasion in 110 degree Arizona heat out to the lakes. I've been driving Ford trucks for 30 years and never had an overheating issue, although this is my first Ranger. If you can specifically quote a reliable source that says the 5G Ranger regularly overheats while towing less...
Hmmm.....do you think that Ford Engineers deleted it due to engine overheating? Or do you think the Ford bean counters dropped it to save money? I added it back because I believe the latter.
Well I installed my new OEM cover today. They are actually well made and it drops in accurately to accommodate all items going under it with no trimming.

Congratulations, and you didn't get gouged like everywhere else. I had my hood up today and was thinking how bad things look without the proper cover. Mine should arrive soon, yay!
