  1. Mishimoto products

I'll probably get a mishi radiator on black Friday. Mountune has theirs for $339 right now and it's shiny lol. I'll put the blue hoses on then.
  2. Mishimoto products

Anybody do the radiator hoses? I got the blue ones and will eventually put them on lol.
  3. Mishimoto products

I finally upgraded to the mishimoto intercooler and pipes and man the turbo is so loud now! Very happy with the purchase.
  4. Long Travel Setup

The poly bushings fit perfect. The front end feels better now and I got rid of the play that the upper control arms had. I'll post pics soon.
  5. 62k Miles, Turbo needs replacing

I've taken off my downpipe like 3 times, the first time is the hardest.
  6. 62k Miles, Turbo needs replacing

I used a tiny little ratcheting wrench. I broke 2 free from under the truck and the top nut with the little wrench and went back and forth for what seemed like an eternity to get the nut off
  7. Long Travel Setup

Ok so to replace my upper control arm bushings, I took a look at the bajakits site. $199 plus tax and shipping for the upper bushings and inner sleeves. I found some from kartek for like $25. Bajakits are delrin and the ones I got from kartek are polyurethane. I'll reuse the inner sleeves. Got...
  8. I hit a high curb and have a tire replacement question

I slammed into a concrete wall on the highway. Only thing that touched was the sidewalls of my tires and a scratch on the edge of one rim. When buying aftermarket, buy beefy. That was with my method bead grips wheels and ko2 tires. Those tires would hold nails and even bolts without losing...

So $850 for the deck support plus labor. What are people pushing out of the motor with the deck support and do they have fatter turbos? Seems like 2.0 is the way to go.
  10. 450 RWHP 500 RWTQ

Ok so the mounting bosses are the same I didn't know that.
  11. 450 RWHP 500 RWTQ

This is what I was getting at, but I thought the 2.0 was machined deeper to accommodate the longer stroke. Either way a 2.0 is mounted transversely where as the ranger engine is fore/aft so that's why I was asking about the engine mount bosses to mount to my frame.

1k? Is that assuming I know how to swap parts over because I don't. Also, I'm under the impression that a closed deck is superior to an open deck with sleeves and deck support. Which one is superior? I want a drop in engine or maybe at least a short block that I can pay someone to swap over...

Now we're on the same page. ???
  14. 450 RWHP 500 RWTQ

I guess what I want is a 2.0 stroked to 2.3? In order to have a closed deck.
  15. 450 RWHP 500 RWTQ

My old classmate had bought a used mustang 2.3 under warranty. Needed to replace the engine. He paid 450 to the tech to put a closed deck bottom end. From what I know an open deck is what we have and it has coolant passages to allow for more cooling. This is where failures come from when...
  16. 450 RWHP 500 RWTQ

I think mustangs come with an open deck like us. The rs versions have a closed deck bottom end I believe
  17. 450 RWHP 500 RWTQ

Yes cylinder pressure sorry I'm in meetings all day. But I'm really asking what bottom end did it have because I'm learning this stuff and I've learned to use a closed deck.
  18. 450 RWHP 500 RWTQ

Ok and can you clarify that it was in fact not a closed deck? What can handle more boost? Closed deck or sleeved open/semi closed deck? Or even with deck supports.
  19. 450 RWHP 500 RWTQ

Interesting ? So if it was a built bottom end why would it need sleeves or deck supports? Is that not a closed deck?
